Performance

Here's a couple tables of SpeedoMeter 4.02 QuickDraw results (relative to Quadra 605) on an A1200 equipped with Apollo 1240/50MHz. All the tests were run twice and the average was used after rounding it to two most significant digits.

The first table compares different color depths and the significance of the screen mode and refresh rate used. Only TurboEVD 2.0 was used in this test and own refresh was set in the preferences utility. Screen size was in all cases 640x400.

The second test compares popular external video drivers head to head. In this test the screen size was 512x384 mainly due the limitations in the Savage demo version. Some video drivers didn't implement all of the colour depths so they don't have results either for those depths. Shapeshifter's own refresh model was used with all the drivers.
