License info Info on the various license files included with Quake Registered license Registered Quake end-user license Commercial Expl Commercial exploitation agreement Order How to order PXL/clickBOOM games, delivered to your door Help How to get help with Quake QuakeParameters Explanation of all the Quake switches Console Console commands (for full explanation visit clickboom.com) Translators List of Amiga users who translated Quake to other languages ============================================================================= OPTIONS ------- Press ESC, and use regular PC-like options, or Amiga-style menus. First time you press ESC it will take some time to load and display the menu. Next time it loads it from buffer and displays faster. Feel free to set resolution, sound and other options. "Custom sound routine" is faster than AHI. Use it if you don't have a sound board. - Picasso 96 Copy Routine in 16-bit (Normal and Windowed mode) will not work, until P96 authors implement it. - Picasso 96 SuperBitMap will not work correctly in 16-bit modes. - CyberGraphX Tricky Double Buffer will not work with P96, also it disables Amiga menus. RUNNING QUAKE ------------- The first time you run Quake we recommend you type in CLI: QUAKE -safe -nosound -nocdaudio This will ensure Quake runs in the safest possible environment. If everything goes fine, next time you want to run the game consult QuakeParameters.txt IF YOU HAVE ONLY 8Mb OF FAST RAM: ================================= 1. Remove everything from WBStartup to have 7.5Mb free FAST Ram 2. Run Quake with QUAKE -minmemory -safe THANKS TO ========= Martin Blom - AHI.
