As you all know HaVok BBS has Shut down, this has been a major factor in me quiting the scene, read on dudes! Yup it had to happen sooner or later, many of you knew I had considered leaving the scene several weeks ago, but I was talked into staying by several people (You know who you are!). Well what can I say, with the closure of HaVok, I am no longer willing to continue on this so called scene, I've continued for as long as I can, the one thing that was keeping me on the scene was HaVok mainly because I was there from the very start and Def Base was with Digital Chaos long before even that. Back in those days the whole set up was very strong the scene was THE scene and it didn't take any bullshit, now lets not kid ourselves the scene is a piece of shit these days compared to the awesome might of yesterday, with no support, lamers, Pc's and the Net all taking their turn to add nails to the Amiga coffin we have a situation that is near impossible to turn back. I myself have now left my amiga, I still think it's a wonderful machine the only reason I no longer use it is simply because it can no longer handle the work I'm required to do (To those that don't know I do a lot of graphics work both 2D and 3D), even the 060's struggle horribly under the stuff I do. I'm not going to voice my opinion on the PC vs Amiga argument, all I say is use the machine that does the job best for you. The PC will NEVER have the same sort of scene the amiga once did, we had something special, we still could if people actually gave a damn but as we all know the ones that don't care far out number the few that do :( If there is ever an Amiga revival with the Power PC chips I'll be back otherwise I'm gone for good! I admire the ones that are sticking with the amiga scene, Nerve Axis have shown the UK can still do it if we really want to! A quick message to those dudes doing such an incredible job! Yes you lot at Fear Factory what a bunch of great guys you all are, I mean to be so sad and pathetic you really have to be something special, wankers of the week?
