Archive and dearchive
WorkON allows archiving and dearchiving files by simply dropping the file on the DO WITH section(See DO WITH config). When dearchiving, WorkON will recognize the extension (LHA, LZX, ZIP). Archiving is just a matter of selecting the format, you would like to use and away you go. All you have to do is to configure, which archive programm you want to use and where you have stored them. (Most likely to be in C:) So let's have a look at the config:
Here you can enter the programm (lha, lzx, zip and unzip) and arguments. The default arguments are usable already - but you can also add more arguments, if you like.

If you drop a file on the DO WITH section, a requester will pop up asking you, what you want to do with it. You will also be asked if you like to archive or dearchive the file. Just select which format you would like to use. Help requesters will guide you through this (simple) process, if you have HELP enabled.

It's the same for dearchiving files. Just drop the file on the DO WITH section and select DEARCHIVE. WorkON will recognize the file by its extension (LHA, LZX, ZIP).

IWork
With WorkON you also get a quick menu to start all important internet applications, like browser, mailer, TCP-IP stack and also Cmanager. You can also start your browser with a given URL and you can also define a start URL, which will then be the default one. Have a look at the internet config:
Now, here you only have to select your favourite browser, mailer, TCP-Ip stack and, if you like, CManager, which is a very practical tool. Here you can also enter your start (default)-URL. Next time you select from the menu 'Start browser with URL', this window will pop up. (See picture below) Press GO and your favourite browser will be launched with this URL. But you can also change it anytime. Just click into the URL string and enter a different URL. Pressing GO will again open the browser with your new URL.
Here you see the window that opens, when you select 'Start browser with URL' from WorkON's menu.

SYSTEMWORK
There's also a menu, called SYSTEMWORK - here you can select often-used shell commands by simply choosing them from the menu. You can check versions of programs and libraries by selecting version (I recommend to use a version replacement, that shows the version in a nice requester - you can find it on Aminet), do an 'avail flush' or gather some information about mem, mounted devices, etc. It comes in very handy if you are too lazy to open a shell only to check versions or flush libraries. Well, I am lazy.:)
