REQUIREMENTS Any Amiga® Classic (compatible) computer with at least OS3, 68020 cpu and a cybergraphics compatible RTG software. DESCRIPTION AntiAliasedFont (short aafont) is a patch, that antialiased any text that is written by the Workbench to its screen (Anti-aliasing is a technique that makes use of colorshades to make the resolution seem higher than it really is). AAFont is based on the idea of BeautiFont by Szymon Ulatowski, in opposite to BeautiFont AAFont works on 15+ bit screens (only!!!). TECHNICAL AAFont patches the Text() function of graphics.library. When Workbench tries to write something, aafont uses a two times bigger font and scales it down to the size of the current font. USAGE The program can only be started from a shell, to quit it simply use CTRL-C or break. The fonts you've selected in Font prefs must either be scaleable (TrueType®, Agfa IntelliFont®, ...) or available as bitmap fonts that're twice the size of the fonts you've selected in Font prefs! Please note that the patch doesn't immediatly affect text drawing as the program needs to load the requested font into memory first.
