Dear translators,

Concerning the translation, please note the following points:

· All EasySystem localization resources are contained 
within the files named such as "EASys!_english.lha", "EASys!_deutsch.lha", ... . 
Just unpack the english archive, make a copy of the english archive for your 
language and translate, e.g. the english versions of the contained files 
into your language (rename the language subfolders to you language) and 
archive alltogether so that a new language archive is created which has 
the same contents as the originating english archive. Supplying the archive's 
contents to EASys!: and reboot will enable the new language resources.

· Nearly all of the contained localized resources are in simple ASCII format, 
except the "SimpleFind" configuration file. Thus you do not need more than a 
text editor in order to translate in 98% of your work.

· Within the Workbench Menu configuration files, "EASys!:Config/<language>/PatchMenu.dat" 
(see your language's Workbench menus and change the menu's texts exactly conforming) 
and "EASys!:Config/<language>/ToolsDaemon.menu" which is as well an ASCII editable 
file, you simply need to translate the texts within the lines which are labeled by 
"ITEM ", or "SUB ". Do not translate characters within "[ ]" because those brackets 
tell ToolsDaemon which keyboard shortcut to use for the menu item. It is recommended 
that as far as possible, shortcuts are identical allover the systems. Within a working 
EASys! environment, just save the translated file to s: and your Workbench menu and 
the origin config/ language folder file will be updated automatically. If not yet 
existent, you naturally need to create your language's folder first (makedir).

· All EasySystem requester resources such as 
"EASys!:Programs/<language>/FileManager.1" 
begin with a requester type definition line which must not be translated .. 
then continue with the line which de-fines the requester's window title 
(in most cases simply a placeholder "%1") .. one more empty line 
(to be kept!) and then with the lines of text (maximum 30 lines, with 
max. 72 characters per line) which will appear inside the requester 
(%1, %2, %3, ... are placeholders for filenames or counters within the 
pro-cesses and need to be kept at the appropriate places) .. 

last but no least, those resource files end with a line which defines 
the Requester buttons which must begin with ">>> " and whose button separators 
are determined by the vertical sign " | ". 

So just keep those definitions and simply translate the button's texts. 
Requester keyboard shortcuts are determined by the underscore character "_" 
which must be pre-fixed to the shortcut character within the button's text 
(e.g.  e_xit  will activate the "x" as shortcut and the x will be underlined 
in the requester's button within runtime). 

· Requester resources within "EASys!:SysDatabase/<language>/" are in most cases 
simple short descriptions of the EASys! Reference Table's entries. Maximum 5 Lines 
and 72 letters per line of text.

· The voice samples of EASys! are provided as files within 
"EASys!:voice/<language>/" 

... just resample with the same names and provide the new samples within a new 
language folder. See the voice directory for more information on what sentences 
are spoken. Sample a female voice, please.

· Within the directories EASys:StartFileMenu/<language>/ and DDconv:Selector/ 
(plus  sub-menus) you may only rename the files so that their names represent 
a kind of list selection menu in your language. The filenames serve as menu, 
their contents are parts of the code…

· Please translate also all localized resource folders within the archive 
modas_system.lha and within DDconv.lha
