What's this?

It protects your Amiga from unauthorized access.
(You can`t start your WB without typing the right password in. :-) )  

I wrote it some time ago, because I couldn`t find a suitable password prog.
for me. Now here`s the 2K version for every one. 



INSTALLATION
-------------
Either use my SUPERDUPERPERFECTUNBELIEVABLE install prog. or just
- Copy ,pps` to C:

- Edit S:Startup-Sequence and insert ,C:pps` (AFTER the many assigns and BEFORE ,C:Loadwb`)

- When PPS first starts up, there is no password file on your system.
  So you simply enter <ENTER> and then you choose "2" and specify one.

NOTE: The password format can be any characters and/or numbers.  
                                    
               JUST REMEMBER IT !!!!!!!!

[1] Exit PPS         <--------- Guess what ? Yeah ! You can leave PPS !!

[2] Change Password  <--------- Hmm, how difficult !  What could it mean ?

[3] Show Logs        <-------

That`s cool ! PPS has a logfile-option, it can report every false password
input or even every start.

* The Logdata is stored in "SYS:logs"

* You can call PPS with the parameters "logall", to report extensive 
                                            or
                                       "nolog" to report nothing.
  
 If you specify nothing, then the standard report length is choosen.   

Examples:            report type:

C:pps                01-11-2000 17:03:40 :  Wrong password : hello

C:pps logall         PPS started at
                     05-18-2000
                     20:52:02
 
                     05-18-2000
                     20:52:07
                     Right password.
                     Access given, after 0 false entries.
 
                     PPS ended at
                     05-18-2000
                     20:52:16 

c:pps nolog           <nothing>

You see, "c:pps logall" produces masses of text, which will force you
to "cut down" your "SYS:logs" soon, because it gets greater every time
you turn your Amiga on.
