You can choose between writing the URLs to a file, write to standart outfile (see Config and Usage) or load them into your browser. Currently supported browsers are iBrowse, AWeb and Voyager. A CLI interface is also available. Available languages are German, English and Portuguese. Copy the "tritonrexx.library" and the "rexxapp.library" into your LIBS: dir. @endnode @node config "Configuration" I have written a configprogram, for easier configuring and keeping your old configs in new SeekHTTP versions. Now, let's config: Start it by double clicking on its icon, and it should open its window. Now follow these steps: 1. Select your language, available languages are English, German and Portuguese. 2. Select your browser, supported are iBrowse, AWeb and Voyager. 3. Select your browser executeable. You have two possibilities: 1. Type the full path and the name of the executeable into the string gadget or 2. Press the button after the string gadget, and a filerequester will pop up, where you can select the path to your browser and the browser executeable. 4. Type in path and name of the standart outfile. You can do this by pressing the button after the string gadget and select the outfile per filerequest. The standart outfile is used, when you use SeekHTTP from CLI and specify just an inputfile as argument, the standart outfile will be used as outputfile, or on gui, there is a frame called Save to, in this frame you can select between selecting a file as outputfile or using the standart outfile as outputfile. The standart outfile can be used as a base, where all urls are saved to, I have made a hotlist entry for the outfile in my browser. NOTE: You don't need to create a outfile by yourself, if the standart outfile doesn't exist, then SeekHTTP will create one. 5. Type in the pubscreen, where SeekHTTP will open its window on. If this screen doesn't exists, SeekHTTP will open its windows on the default pubscreen (Workbench). 6. Then, if you wish that your browser should start and load the outputfile when you use SeekHTTP from CLI, then check the checkbox after "Start Browser (CLI):". 7. Click on save to save your settings. @endnode @node use "Usage" At first, when you enter an outputfile, that doesn't exists, SeekHTTP creates it for you. You never need to create an outpufile by yourself! (Hi Rodney! ;)) CLI usage: to use SeekHTTP from CLI, without open the gui type in: SeekHTTP [outputfile]. Fore example: SeekHTTP RAM:Test.txt or SeekHTTP RAM:Test.txt RAM:URLs.html If you specify just an inputfile, the URLs will be written to standart outfile (1st example), if you specify an outfile, the URLs will be written into this file (2nd example). When SeekHTTP is finished, a beep will be made. If you have checked the "Start Browser" checkbox in the config program, your browser will be started and the outputfile will be loaded into your browser. GUI usage: If you run SeekHTTP without arguments, the gui will fire up. Start SeekHTTP by typing in a shell: SeekHTTP, or double click on its icon. Then select the inputfile(s) in the filerequester and click on "Ok". There is no limit, how much files you select and there is no limitation, what filetype you choose. You can even select a binary file, but the chance that you find URLs in a binary file, are very low. :-) TIP: Don't use HTML files, the results are not looking very good. The "main" gui will open. Explanation of the menu: Config...: Start configprogram, the new configs will not be used, when SeekHTTP is still running. They will be used when you start SeekHTTP the next time. Write to file: Same as the "Write to file" button in the gui. Send to browser: Same as the "Send to browser" button in the gui. Quit: Guess what this means. :-) Explanation of the gui: Inputfile(s): A list, where all inputfiles without the path are displayed. Save to Frame: Here you can select the outputfile. If you select "Select file", a filerequester will open, where you can select the outputfile. If you select "Standart outfile", the URLs will be written to the standart outfile, that you (hopefully) have specified in the config program. (above things apply only if you select the "Write to file" operation) Browser frame: If you check the checkbox "Start browser?", SeekHTTP will do its job as normal and then start your browser and load the outputfile in it. (applies only if you selected "Write to file") Write to file: When you select "Write to file", the gui will close and a filerquester will open. In this filerequester you should select the outputfile, and then click on "Ok". If you have selected "Standart outfile" in the Save to Frame, no filerequester will open. When you have selected the outputfile, SeekHTTP will begin to work. Send to browser: When you select "Send to browser", the gui will close and SeekHTTP will begin to work. When it has done his job, your browser will be started and the outputfile (a tempfile, if you have selected "Select file" in the Save to frame or the standart outfile, if you have selected "Standart outfile") will be loaded into your browser, and SeekHTTP quits quiet. Then a progressbar will open and tell you that you should wait. When SeekHTTP is finished a requester will open, and tell you that SeekHTTP is finished, and where the URLs saved to. You can choose between "Quit now" and "New search". Quit now: Try it. ;) New search: Our old friend the inputfilerequester will open and the game restarts. :-) If you have checked the "Start browser" checkbox: After you have clicked on one of the two buttons, your browser will come up and load the outputfile. (The above things apply only, when you have selected the "Write to file" operation!) If you have selected "Send to browser": Then no requester will appear that tells you that SeekHTTP is finished, but your browser will be loaded and the outputfile (tempfile or standart outfile) will be loaded into it. Thats the whole usage! I think it's easy, but I have written it. :-) @endnode @node script "Support scripts" I have written some scripts to use SeekHTTP with them. SHYAM: A script for YAM. Select a mail in YAM and start SHYAM. SHYAM will overgive the mail to SeekHTTP, and SeekHTTP will search for urls in the mail. The urls are written to standart outfile. SHMD1.16: A script for MicroDot 1.16. Select a message and start SHMD1.16. The founden URLs will be written to standart outfile. NOTE: This script doesn't work with MicroDot II! I'll wait for the release of MDII 1.0 before I try to write a script. Fill out the fields, explaination down here, and click on "Register me". RegisterSeekHTTP will write the registration mail in YAM and you just have to send it. Cancel: quit. @{b}Thanks for registering!!!@{ub} @endnode @node other "My other projects" My other projects are: AminetFTPMail: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AminetFTPMail is a program, that let's you get the Aminet Recent Uploads by FTP-Mail. You select the Aminet Recent mail in YAM, start AminetFTPMail, select the files you want to get in a comfortable list and click the start button. AminetFTPMail will write a mail to a ftp-mail site of your choise and the only thing you have to do then is sending the mail. Short info about FTP-Mail: FTP-Mail is a service, that let's you get files from a ftp site per mail. You write a mail with the files, that you want to get to a ftp site, that supports ftp mail and this ftp site will mail the files that you want to get to you. This service is excellent for getting aminet uploads, but because writing the mails per hand is not very comfortable, I have written AminetFTPMail. Features: - TritonGUI - comfortable Configprogram - you can select a predefined FTP-Mail site or specify a own ftp-mail address - you can choose the max. mailsize - easy to use - no limit how much files you want to get (the only exception is the size of your email account ;-)) - you have two lists, in the upper you can select which upload you want, and in the lower are the uploads, that you want, displayed and can be removed everytime. - simple but powerful - the only thing you have to do is selecting which files you want, and sending the mail :-) - I DON'T WANT MONEY FROM YOU FOR THIS! (but if you still want to send me some money, I won't stop you from doing so ;-)) Available: Aminet, comm/mail Current Version (at this time): 1.0 AminetGetFTP: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A sisterprogram of AminetFTPMail. It has the same gui, does the same things, the only differents are that it doesn't write FTP-Mails, it starts AmFTP, connects to a aminet site of your choice and downloads all files that you have selected.
