3.6 Receiving and Storing E-Mail
3.61 Creating Mail Folders
When you first start Microdot, the screen will look very bare and quite uncustomised.
You do get one mail folder as standard - PRIV. This is your main mail folder and any
unfiltered mail will go into this folder.
You need to create your individual folders if you want to store messages from different
people and/or mailing lists. Once mail is received you can manually move mail into individual
folders or setup filters to move new messages automatically.
Most people will have a number of "online friends" who they communicate with on a regular
basis and these people will be ideal for their own folders. To create a new mail folder:
In this example we have set the signature to default to 'Business' (this was a pre-set
signature setup within the signature preferences). I have also set my default email address
to 'chris@active-net.co.uk'. Normally, when writing a reply within that folder, the email
message will use the 'default address' as the reply-to: address.
Your GUI is now starting to take some shape! Add any mailboxes you require by following
the process stated above.
