FILTER (user-defined post office filters) a filter
serves to process messages due to criteria. If a message fulfills a
certain condition, it can release certain internal messages.
Applications for filters are e.g.: - automatic shifting of messages
from a mailing list into a certain p.o. box - dispatching an automatic
response to certain inquiries - automatic deletion of inadvertent
advertising Mail - the automatic rerouting of messages to another
recipient you can up to 64 such filter (also well-known than " rules
") define. Click on [ new ], in order to create a new filter or use
you [ to deletion ], in order to remove it.

name
the name of the filter serves only as
description and has otherwise no further meaning.
Remote
filters
with a remote filter can be checked the new messages
on the POP3-Server, without they must be completely down-loaded. The
POP3-Server must support in addition the TOP instruction and be able
to do it contrary to the normal filters only items of the message
header to be searched. For understandable reasons internal messages
do not function such as a passing on or a shifting with remote
filters. Active ones remote filters can slow the post office getting
down, serve however e.g. as protection before inadvertent advertising
Mail or Mailbomben.
To new post office you
apply a
selecting this option, in order to treat all new messages with this
filter. The filter process is released automatically after the
receipt of new post office.
To dispatched post office you
apply a selecting this option, in order to treat outgoing
messages with this filter. The filter process is released
automatically after successful dispatching of the respective message.
On request apply
if this option is active, the
filter with operation of the filter button in the main window or with
the menu ' p.o. box/filters... ' one starts. So also old messages can
be filtered, which do not have to be necessarily in the post office
input.
Page comparison
each filter can select
messages due to one or two
search criteria. For two
criteria the logic function must be indicated: AND both Kriterieren
must be fulfilled OR at least one of the two criteria must fulfilled
be EITHER OR exactly one of the two criteria must fulfilled its
page internal message
rerouting
activating
you this option, so that messages, which fulfill the search criteria,
are rerouted to another person. The address new recipients must be
input then in the text field.

passing on
Activate this option, so that messages, which fulfill the search
criteria, are passed on to another person. The address new recipients
must be input then in the text field.
Responses
activating it this option, so that for messages, which fulfill the
search criteria, an automatic response is produced. The file, which
contains the response text, must be input then in the text field.
Example: YAM:Texte/Antwort1.txt
executing
activating it this option, so that for messages, which
fulfill the search criteria, a program is started. The program
receives the file path of the message file as parameter. Input the
instruction line in the text field and note you that for ARexx Skripte
the RX instruction must be indicated as.
Example: rx YAM:Rexx/Subscribe.rexx
..tone play
an activating
you this option, so that for messages, which fulfill the search
criteria, a..tone is played. The file, which contains the..tone, must
be input in the text field. For playing the LIBRARY of type of DATA
is used.
Example: Data:Audio/Anna.wav
shifting
activating it this option, so that messages, which
fulfill the search criteria, are shifted into another p.o. box. The
p.o. box can be selected with the Popup button.
Delete
an activating this option, so that messages, which fulfill
the search criteria, are deleted.
You
do not
down-load an activating this option, so that messages, which fulfill
the search criteria, are down-loaded not from the POP3-Server. A
remote filter can be used together with this internal message, if
several users only one POP3-Konto divide.
