the symbol table is a hierarchical
directory of E-Mail addresses frequently used. There are three types
of symbol table entries:

Person: Information to an
individual recipient. Apart from the mandatory instructions (E-Mail
address, name) the symbol table administers also the postal address,
telephone, birth date as well as a picture of the person.

Mailing list: An enumerating of non-standard recipients,
which can be addressed with only one alias. Mailing lists are used
for circulars and indicated in the symbol table by a list symbol
(three small headings).

Group: A sublist within
the symbol table, which contains further entries (persons, mailing
lists and/or groups). Groups serve to keep the overview of the symbol
table and in fat writing are represented. ' alias ' is the unique
identifier of a symbol table entry. Such a contraction may not occur
twice, otherwise YAM cannot determine the appropriate E-Mail address
unique.
 Examples: AnnaM, Fox (persons); Beta
tester (mailing list); Business, private (groups) new entries always
appear in the highest hierarchy of the symbol table. Use Drag&Drop,
in order to shift an entry into another group. A group knows through
clicks on [ the +]-symbol to be opened or with [ - ]-symbol be closed.
