YAM 
possesses a multiplicity of options, which can be stopped in the 
configuration window.  The program options are distributed on 
altogether fourteen pages, which can be called by clicking the 
appropriate column in the left part of the configuration window.  At 
the beginning the fields on the first page (firststeps)must
 be however only filled out.  With the button [ memory ] is stored
 the adjustments on the fixed
disk, so that they survive a restart of the computer.  With [
using ] remain only temporarily active the modifications (up 
to terminating YAM).
