PURPOSE
To provide an alternative interaface to the balancing functions provided in
ImageFX.

DISTRIBUTION
phBalance should be distributed at no charge to the end user however should
a duplication charge be made, it should not exceed the cost of a blank 3.5"
disk.  The phBalance executable and documentation is public domain and no
payment is required for its use.  For commercial applications of phBalance,
contact the author for further information concerning distribution.

CONTENTS
This package should contain:
  phBalance = This is the actual hook module.  Copy this file to
              ImageFX:Hooks.
  phBalance.doc = The document you are reading now.

EXECUTION
Launching the phBalance hook, will show a user interface similar to the
following:

The RGB, HSL and V, Co, Ga sliders are for the Red, Green, Blue, Hue,
Saturation, Luminance, Brightness, Contrast and Gamma respectively.  These
operate the same as the inbuilt ImageFX balance function.

The "Do & Close" gadget will apply the slider settings to the image and
then leave phBalance.

The "Do & Stay" gadget will apply the settings but not close the phBalance
window, so you can contintually adjust the image until you are satisfied.

The "Close" gadget closes the phBalance window without doing anything.

Reset" clears all the sliders to 0.

Pressing "Store" toggle the gadget.  When selected, pressing a "Preset
Number" will store the slider settings 'into' that preset.

"Load" loads a preset settings file.

"Save" stores a preset settings file.

"Default" stores all the current preset settings as the defaults under the
name "ImageFX:Storage/phBalance/phBalance_prefs".


COMPLIER
phBalance was written and compiled using CED V3.5 and SAS/C 6.51 on an
Amiga 4000/040.

BUGS
Should you find any bugs, please report them so that they can be fixed.
Likewise any suggestions for improvment should be forwarded to the author
so that they can be addressed.
