This version is still a ß-version because I don't know if ABK2MOD converts banks generated by GMC Converter or SMUS Converter (I have neither SMUS or GMC modules!) The registered version of ABK2MOD is strictly personal and is *NOT* distributable in any way, only a backup copy for the registered user is allowed. Commercial distribution of ABK2MOD and/or its relative files is *NOT* allowed without written permission from the author. This also means the distribution on cover disks, disk magazines etc. I'll be glad to give the permission to insert this program on disk magazines or cover disks if I receive a copy of it. Write me for details. Only the output of ABK2MOD is not subjected to these rules. HOW IT WORKS ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Using ABK2MOD is very easy: just click on its icon on the WB and the main window will appear. Click on LOAD gadget to load an AMOS Music Bank (make sure you have enough memory, at least the double size of the AMOS Music Bank). After having loaded the bank, ABK2MOD will convert it into a standard PT mod. In the main window you can see some of the most important details of the converted module: - Number of samples - Number of patterns - Number of positions - Length of converted module Now you can save the module clicking on SAVE gadget or hear it clicking PLAY gadget. When you have converted all banks you need, click QUIT for exit the program. NOTE: the demo version of ABK2MOD can't manage AMOS Banks larger than ~~~~~ 40Kbytes and is 5 time slower than registered one! (See later) ABK2MOD IS SHAREWARE! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ABK2MOD is shareware. This means that you can have a registered version sending the registration fee (12 DM or 12.000 italian lires) to the author (please no checks, but only cash!). The registered version can translate banks larger than 40K and there is also a replayer to hear the module just converted before saving it on your harddisk. Actually registered users have version 1.2r of ABK2MOD (see history). This demo version is 1.0ß. Don't worry for bugs (see history): if you want a stable (and full) version please register! Your name, address and regcode will be encrypted into the program. So don't spread registered versions of ABK2MOD because you will be recognised and persecuted by law! Any attempt to remove regcode, name, etc. will make ABK2MOD unusable, you are advised! REQUIREMENTS ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ABK2MOD works well on any Amiga (1.1 and 1.2 OS version has not been tested, though). In order to run ABK2MOD in your LIBS: drawer must be present: Reqtools.library v34+ © Nico Francois (all Amigas) Gadtools34.library v34+ © Massimo Tantignone (only 1.3 Amigas) (please note that for copyright reasons you must copy GadTools34.library into LIBS: drawer and then rename it to "Gadtools.library").
