Latest Additions ---------------- 1) The Manual refers to installing various elements such as AHI and RTG to your Hard Drive before running Genetic Species. This is no longer the case as you can now simply double click on the UseCDLibs icon to set up a temporary system before running Genetic Species from the CD. 2) Non Sound Card Users: Everytime you run Genetic Species the AHI audio system will display the requester (Cannot open 'toccata.library' v12) This is normal and you should simply choose OK to continue. 3) There are allot of Audio options available from the AHI sound system, if you are not 100% sure on which one to select, we suggest you choose (Paula:DMA 8bit stereo) when the Audio Interface appears. 4) Genetic Species supports 16 languages thanks to the ATO. The "Manual","Text Files" and "In-Game Graphics" support the 16 languages, but unfortunately (due to a tight release schedule) the "In-Game Text" for languages (other than English) did not make it in time to be included on this CD. But do not worry! By the time you are reading this, all language add-on files will have been finalised, and made available. WHAT TO DO ---------- Create a directory anywhere on your hard drive, and call it anything you like, perhaps "GSAddons". In your User-Startup sequence you should assign, EXTERNAL: to your created directory. for example.. Assign EXTERNAL: DH0:GSAddons/ Any add-on language files, patches or extensions for Genetic Species should simply be placed in this directory. The Genetic Species CD will then look in here first for files (if they exist). WHERE TO GET LANGUAGE FILES --------------------------- The first places you should check are the official websites. Vulcan Software Ltd http://www.vulcan.co.uk Marble Eyes http://www.marble-eyes.dk Here you will be allowed to download the add-on files as LHA's. Alternatively they will also be made available via Aminet and many Magazines who have CD cover mounts will also carry the files. Or you can email: "Paul@vul-soft.demon.co.uk" stating the language you require, and we will email the files back to you. Or as a last resort you can send an addressed envelope to: Vulcan Software Limited Vulcan House 72 Queens Road Buckland Portsmouth Hants PO2 7NA England UK Stating which language you would like, and we will post a floppy disk to you that contains the language files.
