For English Users the English text follows right behind the Dutch version!! Nederlandse tekst | \ / v De Pentium 2 ( Codename Klamath ) De eerste tests: Op dit moment is Intel intensief bezig met het testen van de Pentium 2 in hun laboratoriums. De pentium 2 is de nieuwste processor van Intel en deze is in de tests al zo heet geworden dat hun hoofd test laboratorium bij de eerste test totaal in puin is komen te liggen. Intel dacht de Pentium 2 met wat ventilatortjes te kunnen koelen, maar naar enige seconde bleek al dat dit niet genoeg was en de kast van de computer begon rood gloeiend te worden. Helaas konden een aantal medewerkers van Intel net op tijd de stekker eruit trekken zodat erger kon worden voorkomen. Intel dacht het probleem met grotere krachtiger ventilatoren te kunnen verhelpen, maar ze wilden meteen ook de kracht bekijken als men 5 Pentium 2 processoren paralel laat lopen. Dit was dus weer eens enorm fout van hun gedacht want vanaf het moment dat men de computer aan deed kwam er zo'n hitte vrij dat er niemand nog bij de energie voorziening kon komen en de hitte bleef oplopen totdat er een meltdown plaats vond in het lab van Intel. Geen van de medewerkers heeft deze ramp overleeft. Intussen is Intel in een ander laboratorium verder gegaan met het testen van de Pentium 2, deze keer hebben ze een ontwikkelteam van kernreactoren om hulp gevraagd. De pentium 2 zal het zelfde koelsysteem als de moderne kernreactoren krijgen, met op de buitenkant van de computer een meter die de hitte van de koelvloeistof aangeeft. Loopt de hitte te ver op dan zal de computer zich automatisch uitschakelen om een meltdown te voorkomen. De toekomst: Ondertussen is Intel aan de eerste ontwikkelingsfase van de Pentium 3 begonnen Codename Apocalyps. Deze Processor zal nogal veel energie verbruiken en aangezien ze in de Pentium 2 al een geavanceerd koelsysteem voor kernreactoren gebruiken zal de Pentium 3 ook een mini kernreactor krijgen voor de energie voor- ziening van de Pentium. Maar deze Pentium wordt pas begin volgende eeuw verwacht en men verwacht dat deze niet goed gekeurd zal worden in verband met veiligheids redenen, maar dit probleem doet zich in sommige landen ook al voor met de Pentium 2. The Pentium 2 ( Codename Klamath ) The first tests: At this moment Intel is testing their Pentium 2 Intensive in their labs. The pentium 2 is the latest processor made by Intel and in the first tests the pentium 2 has become so hot that their main test lab has been trashed completely. First Intel thought that they could cool the Pentium 2 with just some fans, but after some seconds it already appeared that this whas not enough as the case of the computer started to melt. Unfortunately some Employees of Intel where able to pull out the plug so things didn't get worse. Intel then thought to overcome the problem by using more powerfull fans, but at the same time they also wanted to see the power of 5 pentium 2 processors running paralel. And again this was a very stupid idea of them, because from the moment they turned the computer on it developed so much heat that nobody could reach the powersuplies anymore and the heat kept on rising until it came to a meltdown in Intels lab. non of the employees of this lab has survived this disaster. In the mean time Intel continued testing the pentium 2 in another lab, this time they contacted a development team of Nuclear Powerplants. The Pentium 2 will get the same cool system as modern Nuclear powerplants have, with on the outside of the computer a meter that indicates the heat of the coolant. If the heat of the coolant gets to high then the computer wil turn itself automaticaly off to prevent a meltdown. The future: At the moment Intel started at the first developement stage of the Pentium 3 codename Apocalyps. This Processor wil use even more energy and as Intel already uses an advanced cooling system for their pentium 2, that is also used in most modern nuclear powerplants, Intel plans to also use a mini nuclear power- plant for the energy suply of the pentium 3. But this Pentium is not expected to be for sale until begin next century. And people also believe that the pentium 3 will never pass any inspection, because of safety reasons, but this problem is already happening is some countries with the Pentium 2.
