Hi, this is Telekinetic/Tfa/FAs/L.A. Mers writing to ya all. I have made it my job to surf over the net in search for numerous software companies, looking what they have in store for amiga and or they are producing for other platforms. I found out that they are made their plan's to make nothing or little for the amiga in the near future (Depends on escom sales i guess) And many have even kicked the name AMIGA out of their home-pages (Aka. Bullfrog - Syndicate etc, Electronic Arts) So i decided to release a number of E-Mail adresses for all you internet freaks to send loadsa Email to those companies. What has to be in it you might say : 1 - Ask if they are planning new games 2 - Ask if some PC games will be ported to AGA(cd/hd) amiga's 3 - If they have plans developing games for the forthcomming PowerAmiga's 4 - Mention your system, they believe mostly that their is no market for 'Power-hungry' games (aka turbo/more ram games/HD ONLY!) and anything else you can think off wich will be important for ensuring the amiga's gaming future. NOTE : Make these mails on a good manner, no angry or 'Hate' mail's just civilized and use your normal name, not scene Alias!. Example of how NOT write mails : Hey ya stupid asshole's, why ain't da commin new games for amiga ya fuckin lame PC fucka's! Some games you can request for porting to AGA/upgraded amiga's : Bullfrog - Syndicate II (yes, the long awaited follow-up of the old classic!) (On their homepage they call it ... of the old PC Classic. i can remember it was an amiga first release! Bitmap Brothers - 'Z' System requirment's show it can be done on upgraded Aga machines (minimum PC requirments where 486dx-II 40Mhz 8MB ram & HD -> Amiga 1200 4Mb ram HD FPU!) Some i dont (yet) have email adress of/or have companie names. Warcraft - Orcs & Humans (Dune II clone, really kewl) Transport Tycoon Deluxe - Great sim game of a transport bussiness. Worms II - From team 17 Email will come at end of letter! Settlers II - You know, the follow up of Der Siedler 'Settlers' Stardust '96 - From gametek, follow-up of Super Stardust but unfortunatly NOT on amiga! Sim-City 2000 Special - CD-Rom with many new extra's for Sim City 2000! but haven't seen the name AMIGA anywhere! Okay these where some examples, but i can think of more games which are easy to port to amiga. (They could port Amiga games to PC as well!) A small notice is that when they will decide to port/make games to/for the amiga again, we have to show we also BUY games, sounds hard and i won't go into the discussion again, but $35,- for a game is not BAD. especially when you support amiga even with buying 1 game once a while. Okay Email adresses : Bitmap Brothers - WWW@BITMAP-BROTHERS.CO.UK Team 17 - comming soon E.A./Bullfrog - WWW@EA.COM Escom AMIGA Sup.- peterk@escom.de (Let him know we CARE!) Epic Games - Webmaster@epicgames.com Blue Byte - Fleming@bluebyte.com Gametek - gametek@aol.com (For Stardust '96 etc!) Maxis - Support@maxis.com (Transport tycoon/Sim 2000 Deluxe etc) UbiSoft - Email on homepage at HTTP://www.ubisoft.com/uk/ Mindscape - Email on homepage at HTTP://www.mindscape.com/ Domark - Techsupp@domark.com Virgin - Tech_support@vie.com Microprose - Support@holobyte.com (Magic the Gathering games etc!) Spectrum Holob. - Support@holobyte.com (Grand Prix II is released soon!) Well this is a small list of companies who produced good quality amiga games in the past. Just let them know you are looking (And hopefully WILLING) to purchase new games when they get released, as soon as sales start again on a larger scale, the software will come back again, and then you can have more choice in games released. Well hopefully this list will open your eye's a bit. P.s. : I saw just a little amount of 'Soon' or 'Now!' released amiga games. actually 1 : Championship Manager II and perhaps Settlers II but i didn't see that one on the net as AMIGA game but read a small article in CU Amiga Magazine. I also get tiered of the followin remarks by soon to be released games - Minimum requirments : 486dx-II 8MB XXmb Free HD Space/ 1MB (S)VGA Soundblaster (Compatible), Mouse etc etc etc. It's as reading : Requirments - Amiga 1200 with HD and a bit Fastram. Anyway, just let these people know if they are planning future games for amiga. And do something more about this than saying 'Gee, not much Majors lately for AMIGA eh!?' Just buy a game or 2 (A year!) ... Greetz, Telekinetic... the one with allready 10 Originals (hehehehe)
