I typed it down for all of you: ------------------------------------------------------------- DATE: 22/07/1995 AUthors: the members of the Saturne Saturne has the deep regret to inform you that the Saturne Party 3 is definitively cancelled. One of our friends, in whom we were very confident, told us she had found a place (in the Parc des Expositions of Paris- Villepinte) with all facilities, thanks to a VIP she knew very well. She said there was a written contract between this man and those who are responsible of this Parc of Villepinte, and that our party would be part of a cultural project (self-payed place). As soon as we were advised that this contrsct existed we started all advertisements. Each member of Saturne was responsible for a definite task, so that we could supply all material needed for the party (giant screens, hifi equipment, bar, virtual reality...) Then it was time to visit this hall in order to optimize the organisation. But our friend delayed more and more the date of this visit, and finally admitted that the contract never existed. A big disappointment and incomprehensive from all of us... And we still dont^t understand her attitude. To find a new room is absolutely impossible now, considering the time and means we have left. It^s the second time we fail so close to the aim, in spite of all the energy and efforts we already deployed, and we feel bitter. So we decided that the best thing we could do was to cancel the party, definitely. We sincerely hope you will al understand and support us. Thanx for spreading this message to every of your contacts. If some of you could not have their travel-tickets paid back, please call us at +331 60 01 97 77 and we would arrange you a nice weekend with us. Saturne will make a break in organising parties, spending more time on making demos. But there^s still a possibility to organize another party one day.
