It is cool that they fix those games that do not work on aga machine, but I hate it when they release the whole game again, when it is not necassary ! Most of the time, a simple patch will be fine. But it gets worse...people release AGA fixes, but do not do anything about the game itself. They only put something like 'agafix gamename' in the startup-sequence, and then they release the whole game. These things got to stop, because everybody can do these things. And most people try it themselves when they come to the conclusion that it does not work on a standard machine. And finally....people release so called agafixes with the program agafix in the startup-sequence, and when you boot the disk....you will get a requester and a fucked up screen. This happened to me with Beach Volleyball, a great game, but you only need some fastmemory and the game will work (it is a bit buggy, but you can play it). I have a standard 1200, and the aga-fix did not work with me, so I do not consider it an agafix. The game TWINTRIS aga-fixed also did not work on my computer, so I think there are more of these games that just do not work, but hardly anyone is leeching these fixes, and only about 5% of the people that have it on there harddisk will actually see if it works or not (yep, I belong to that 5%). Programs like fixaga are not made for people that want to release agafixed games, they are made for every scene person that wants to keep playing his old games, or watch some old demos. Finally. When you have a aga machine and have a game that canno't be played right, try the following things: -run it with FIXAGA -run it with (fake)fastmemory -run it without cache -run it with original chipset. When it still does not work, you can make an agafix out of it and release the game...
