SKOKIE, Ill., -- March 22, 1995 -- The Corporate/Systems Division of U.S.
Robotics Access Corp., a subsidiary of U.S. Robotics Corporation
(NASDAQ: USRX), today announced new products that round out the company's
remote LAN access strategy.  Detailed in separate announcements, the products
make U.S. Robotics' Total Control NETServer family of remote LAN access
products one of the most comprehensive remote LAN access offerings in the
industry, providing scalable solutions for any size installation.

U.S. Robotics offers a versatile range of products designed to meet the remote
access needs of a wide variety of customers.  The complete Total Control
NETServer family, focused on providing a common remote LAN access feature set
across platforms, includes:

 exception of the NETServer for Frame Relay

The Total Control NETServer/8 and Total Control NETServer/16, two of the new
products introduced today, complement the company's already available two-port,
24-port and 48-port solutions, giving U.S. Robotics customers extremely
flexible remote LAN access options.
In addition, the new Total Control NETServer Card for Frame Relay expands U.S.
Robotics' market opportunities, allowing the company to compete in the Frame
Relay market.

U.S. Robotics Brings Extensive Experience to Mid-Range Remote Access Market

An advantage U.S. Robotics brings to the remote LAN access arena is its
expertise in the high end of the market.  This expertise translates into
highly reliable, feature-rich platforms for customers.

 "Many of the remote LAN access solutions we've provided in the past are
installed in highly data-intensive environments, such as online services and
service providers," said Bob Rainone, Corporate/Systems Division director of
marketing.  "Because of the stringent requirements of these kinds of
customers, our feature set, our support capabilities and our ability to
maintain high performance levels under demanding conditions have been key."

"We're the only company bringing that kind of expertise to the mid-range
remote access market," added Rainone.  "Other companies may offer eight-port
and sixteen-port products, but none have the experience that we do in
providing scalable, multiport dial-in access solutions."

        Features/Applications

NETServer products include remote node access, terminal service and LAN-to-LAN
routing capabilities.  The products provide a strong protocol set, including
IP, IPX, PPP, SLIP, CSLIP, Telnet and other protocols widely used for Internet
or corporate LAN access.  The NETServer family also provides common management
and security across platforms, including powerful user authentication,
filtering and call accounting capabilities not found in competitive products.

The primary application for the NETServer family of products is remote LAN
access.  NETServer products are also designed for use by Internet service
providers, giving them a "point of presence in a box."  Customers also gain a
variety of powerful features and capabilities by using NETServer products
enterprise-wide.

All NETServer products are based on the same core architecture, providing
seamless interoperability across platforms and ensuring compatibility.  This
universal architecture allows the company to implement a common feature set
across platforms, giving standalone NETServer products the same powerful
features as U.S. Robotics' NETServer cards for the company's Total Control
Enterprise Network Hub.

NETServer products include a Windows-based management package common to all
platforms, allowing local LAN-based management or remote management from a
central location.  With Total Control Security Server, customers may also take
advantage of U.S. Robotics' user authentication and call accounting
capabilities.  NETServer products also offer the advantage of U.S. Robotics'
comprehensive service and support programs.
