Reading it now, I see we did perhaps put him down a bit hard. But really, he is hopeless. Anyway Amico did evolve a bit. He went to WOA in '99 and meet with fellow believers (and that's scary to think about). He came back with the suitcase full of ideas for a brand new Amiga magazine that he would start with his newfound friends at WOA. For weeks we heard about this grand plan, a magazine translated to many languages and released all over the world with over 100 writers. This alone would raise an eyebrow or two, and make some people worried. One Amico is enough, thinking about 100's of them roaming around, now that's scary. Anyway the magazine wasn't realized and he continued with his old Norwegian one. Amico opened an Amiga website for his magazine, and to give us (the Amiga community) Amiga related news. The site was a bit tragic really, and I guess it didn't do anyone any harm. However, he had to close down that site (www.Amiga4ever.com). The guy that helped him register that site had screw him over. Registered the site on a fake address in Germany and paid with a fake Visa code. So it was closed eventually. Amico vent nut's though, I guess we all had gone mad over such a thing if it happened to us . Amico however didn't give up that easy and got himself a new domain: www.classicAmiga.com (now relocated to welcome.to/Amiga4ever). Some weeks ago www.classicAmiga.com where hacked. At that evening I was online playing some game, so I was away. However, when the game ended and I came back to IRC, I had a message waiting from Amico: I KNOW IT WAS YOU and allot of other shit. True I have been arguing with Amico a lot (not so much recently), he claims I hate him, I don't though, but don't "like like" him either. So I had to ask someone on the channel (#Amigano) what the hell was going on. I then found out that his site was hacked and they had replaced the content with a lot of weird stuff. Links to www.rotten.com and other more or less suspicious sites, and a fabulous picture of Miss Poland (Amico's home country). I think its because I have been teasing him a bit with Polish jokes that he think I had something to do with the hacking of his site. To make it worse fake postings started to show up at moobunny too, but him into a real bad light (Nothing worse than he put himself in though). Amico continued to claim that I had something to do with it, started to threaten me with the police. Something that really pissed me off, not like he had any proof. Guess they would laugh their ass off if he went down to the police trying to charge me based on some Polish jokes. I decided I would find out some more about the hacking, this lead me deep into the underworld..... »PIC:Darklight.+ec_11.iff» »CL8:Chapter 2 - The revelation. »CL0:(hopefully the cool stuff) I did ask around for a while with no results. After beating the crap out of some low life snitch I found out the name of one of the crims. It didn't take long to look up his phone number. I called and asked for a meeting (Interview) with those behind the coup. He told me to come to this grim looking restaurant the next day. As I went into the room it suddenly hit me: Oh, blues brothers. I saw this stern looking guys all dressed up in suits. I hang back a bit and tried to catch their conversation: »CL1:Mr.Blue: Like a virgin isn't about some sensitive girl meeting a nice fellow. Let me tell you about what "Like a virgin" is all about this couse, a regular fuck machine. I'm talking morning, day, night afternoon: Dick, dick, dick, dick dick, DICK! »CL5:Mr.Brown: How many dicks are that? »CL1:Mr.White: A lot. »CL5:Mr.Blue: One day she meet this John Holmes....... »CL0:He spotted me and didn't finish his sentence. I felt a bit embarrassed at first. Mr.Pink pointed towards me... »CL0:Mr.Pink: Here he is guys, he wanted to know some about our little coup. The guys nodded to me while Mr.Pink started to introduce them to me: Mr.White, Mr.Blonde, Mr.Blue, Mr.Brown and himself Mr.Pink. Funny names, I guess they didn't want to give out their real ones or their nicks (if any). So, who of you will tell me your tale I said. Mr.Blonde pointed at Mr.Pink and said: He will. »CL1:Mr.Pink: You see, we where at this party, a very dull party. Bored us stiff, if you know what I mean? Anyways, we started to talk, over and over people we didn't quite like came up and we really don't need to tell you whom, do we? You see, while the others where talking I sat down at my computer and quietly tried to gain access to Amicos domain. After some trial by error attempts on username and login I surprisingly succeeded, and got very shocked that he had used Amico/Amiga as login/password!! The we talked a bit over how cool it would be if we messed up his site a bit. We started with changing the welcome picture with a huge image of "Miss Poland", a picture we guessed people would stare more than 10 sec's on. You know, attract them to change over to the next page too. Then we changed the images on the other pages with either ugly shemale pictures or logo's with: "hacked by azid forze and the village people". Then Mr.Brown handed over a new and improved version of the text, we threw in some links to more or less quite NASTY sites as well. As we were messing around something happened. When we reloaded the page one of the images was switched! Amico had logged in and was working on fixing his page and we where still logged in too. Then a race started, where he was changing what we had done. We changed what he changed and so on. Meanwhile we were announcing on several channels that his site was hacked to attract viewers. Unlucky for this dude Magic (no, not magic/nah), since Amico started to accuse him for hacking his site. Magic was just unlucky enough to hear about it. So it was kind of a shoot the messenger reaction. We did as well post some on moobunny about it, and some fake Amico postings (I did post some fake Amico postings at moobunny earlier as well). Then he suddenly deleted all from the server, and we had to rebuild a new from scratch. That one were online for about 2 days before he asked his webprovider to delete the whole domain. And that's kinda it... »CL0:Okay... I see. Any special reason why you guys did this? I mean it was kind of drastic in a way. That site was sort of Amico's baby, and he is kind of, "off this world" as it is. Weren't you afraid this would make him spin totally? »CL5:Mr.White: Well, I think I speak for us all when I say: We are quite feed up with this Amiga-reject. He is like a bad rash you can't get rid of once in contact with. About that site being his baby? Well, that baby was in that case the biggest shame of the whole Amiga scene. »CL1:Mr.Pink: Agree, mercy kill!!! »CL5:Mr.White: I guess we all knew that this little coup would stress him a lot, but nothing we really regret on now later, some might have felt a bit bad about it when reactions came, but otherwise not. »CL0:Amico said he had went to the police with this and that two people had been charged? »CL5:Mr.White: That's probably all talk and nothing more. We did store a little text on his server though that said if he went to the police he would die! Perhaps not it those words, but the meaning was clear enough. Don't think he found it though, just deleted it all. »CL0:From there on the conversation kinda faded out and ended in lose talk about everything, nothing and anything.. So, any conclusion to draw? did he deserve to get his site hacked? No, probably not. Quite many (myself included) dislike his all talk and no brain behavior, even he is quite harmless really. Can we call those who did hack his site for hackers? I wouldn't exactly say that either. He used a login/password that was easy enough to guess. Heck you wouldn't need more than half a brain to figure it out. Oh well the world is a dangerous place, a lot of people are out to screw you over and over. But hey!, life goes on. »CL8:Off World »CL0:(or how twist words out of a stone) Somehow I did manage to hunt down Amico and ask him a few questions. As he see me as Satan himself, that wasn't that easy though! »CL1:wsg: Do you have any comments about what has been done to your site? »CL2:Amico: I don't think what has been done to my work is that funny. But overall it wasn't that bad either, the site didn't have any real purpose since it was www.Amiga4ever.com that was supposed to be used, but that one is used by/for something else. That my website was hacked isn't the worst thing that have happened to me. »CL1:wsg: Don't think it was that bad? And about www.Amiga4ever.com we all know the story behind that one. »CL2:Amico: Not really, what that is important for me is to have "Amiga4ever" in my URL address. www.classicAmiga.com wasn't my biggest dream either. Beside now that so much new things are happening with the Amiga it would be dumb to call the site for www.classicAmiga.com anyway. »CL0:I start to scratch my head and conclude with that those who hacked his site did him a favor strange it does sound. »CL1:wsg: You have claimed that you have charged two people because of this hacking. Have you? Or is that just something you have said? »CL2:Amico: Yes, I have charged those who did claim they did the hacking. »CL0:I kind of raise my eyebrows now since NO ONE have stepped forward to claim they have hacked his site. Strange isn't it? So I ask if he can tell me who he has charged. »CL2:Amico: I don't want to tell you that. I don't want to disgrace those involved. »CL1:wsg: I just find it strange that we haven't heard from anyone about being charged for this. If you charge someone they will hear about it pretty fast. You know you need evidence to perform such a task? I mean you can't just charge someone just because you THINK they did it. »CL2:Amico: I don't want to comment anymore on this matters. To hack someone's website is illegal and a crime. That my webprovider didn't log was a bad sign. The matter isn't a case that the Police take seriously, it wont be looked into before June month. »CL0:He don't seem eager to talk more about it but I still ask him about whom he think was involved in hacking his site. »CL2:Amico: You, Raffen, Deco and some others I don't want to mention the name of. »CL1:wsg: I told you before and do it again: I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. »CL2:Amico: That we don't know. »CL1:wsg: I do, and hose who hacked your site does. »CL2:Amico: You know who hacked my site? »CL1:wsg: Both yes and no. I know the whole story, just not the name of the involved. »CL2:Amico: If you tell me I write a letter to the police about the matter and tell you didn't have anything to do with it. »CL0:sigh... THICK! »CL1:wsg: I told you: I DON'T KNOW ANY NAMES. »CL2:Amico: I know they are going to The Gathering, and that is all I know. »CL1:wsg: Some thousand people are going to The Gathering, good luck in finding them. However, you told it wasn't that bad your site was hacked why is it that important that you find out who did it? »CL2:Amico: Because they did something illegal, and I want to have back www.Amiga4ever.com too. »CL1:wsg: I don't think they can give you back that domain even they wanted too. When looking back your site wasn't that well guarded either. Thinking on that incredible easy to figure out login/password. »CL2:Amico: I just wanted it to be best possible known, so that all could upload news when they got some. That was the concept behind A4E. You learn by your own "clever" ideas, now it won't be like that anymore. Just because someone wants to have fun with other people's projects. »CL1:wsg: If your login/password was known all over the place you had to know about the risk? I don't quite see the hassle about it at all when you put it like that. »CL2:Amico: They did something illegal, they could have gotten to some sensitive information as well. »CL0:As written earlier, he is a bit "off this world". He says that a lot of people knew about the login/password to his site so they could upload fresh news. But still that there was stored sensitive information on the site that people shouldn't know about. I just had to ask. »CL1:wsg: But you said a lot of people had access to your site. Why have sensitive information available on your site then? »CL2:Amico: Yes, but only for those who write for the magazine. Are we soon done? »CL0:As I did ask him several questions he didn't want to answer I guessed it was no use to continue anyhow. He continued to ramble about his magazine and what the future would bring, but it all faded out in nonsense. kind of shame though, he have all this good intentions but he somehow manage to screw it all up. Too bad.. »CL7:Editorial note: This article is one year old. End of story is: No legal actions was made, the offended part swallowed his pride and rolled his tounge back in.
