1. Introduction
==========
No introduction this time :-) Let's get straight to the
point.
2. Six New English PET adverts
=========================
Thanks to Rick (
rick@vip.solis.co.uk) from the UK for
sending some REALLY old material. Rick has submitted 6 black & white
adverts for Commodore's PET computer. 2 adverts are from 1980 and 4 are
from 1981. All scanned from "Practical Computing". A Complete PET
system only £3.500 :-)
3. One New English Commodore 700 Advert
================================
Again, it's Rick (
rick@vip.solis.co.uk) who's responsible
for some really unique material. How about an English 2 page colour advert
for the Commodore 700? Scanned from Practical Computing 1983. Great stuff Rick!
Does anyone own a Commodore 700?
4. One New 8 Page Dutch PC Brochure from 1997
====================================
What ?!? Didn't Commodore file for bankruptcy on 29th of April
1994, you might say. Yup, you're absolutely right. But Dutch PC company ESCOM
bought the remains of Commodore & Amiga started to produce PCs
under the Commodore label. In 1997 ESCOM changed the name of the entire company
to Commodore and then published this brochure called "Goodbye ESCOM, Hello
Commodore". Many companies get new owners or investors, and so did Commodore.
Unfortunately ESCOM/Commodore went bankrupt in 1998 (I think). If it wasn't for
the second bankruptcy Commodore might still have been around today. So I
consider this brochure to be genuine Commodore marketing material. Huge thanks
to Alfred Das (
adas@home.nl) from The
Netherlands for sendings this to me.
5. Five Great New Items In The Miscellaneous Section
========================================
Thanks to Simon Quernhorst (
SimonQ@gmx.de) from Germany who has submitted
original Amiga merchandise from 1999. The miscellaneous now features an original
Amiga lighter, an Amiga ballpoint pen and a pair of Amiga socks. All material
comes from Amiga International / Amiga Inc.
Alfred Das (
adas@home.nl) from
The Netherlands has also submitted an Amiga Club Sticker from 1989?. It came
with the Amiga Club card when he joined the official Dutch Amiga club endorsed
by Commodore The Netherlands.
From Finland comes another truly unique merchandise item. Mikko
Heinonen (
mikkohoo@gamma.nic.fi) has
allowed me to use his scan of a Commodore wrist watch. Check out his website
with pictures of computers and games consoles from his own collection. His has
more than 120 machines! Go to:

6. Classical Music By J.S. Bach Is Available For Download At The
Commodore Billboard
;-))
==================================================================
Several people have mailed me asking if I knew what the
background music in the Vic20 commercials is called. With the help of American
Whit Gurley (
whit@gurleycommawhit.com) I've found
out that it's a tune written by J.S. Bach back in 1723. Real classical music.
The tune is called "Two part invention no.13". The complete works of Bach has
been categorized. This particular tune has the number "BWV 784". You'll find
more info about Bach at
www.jsbach.org
Hope you like it.
