Netiquette
in Deutsch

In the interactive part of amiga-news.de (Bulletin Board and Comments), only messages are desired that
  • treat panelists as if sitting at the same table with them.
  • do not have any sexist, racist, anti-semitic or neonazist contents.
  • do not insult or affront anybody.
  • do not contain slander.
  • add something meaningful or entertaining to the discussion, be it a question, an answer, or opinion on a subject, or even something witty.
  • do not spread untruths or disregard netiquette.
  • do not promote piracy or other illegal actions.
  • contain no advertising. This also obliges any company members and editors to sign with their real name and not the company's (or magazine's), to shut out hidden advertising.
  • have the Amiga as subject, or are of interest for Amiga users.
  • do not contain classified ads, requests, offers, etc.; please place those in the classifieds section of the Amiga Club im BTX & Internet.
Contributions violating any of these rules will be deleted without further comment! And, last but not least, please consider that you alone are responsible for the contents of your messages.

Furthermore, here is a selection of important universal rules for good conduct on the web:
  • write short and concisely.
  • pay attention to spelling; periods and commas should be taken for granted; capitalization (esp. in German) makes text more legible. Paragraphs loosen up the text if inserted everys couple of lines.
  • Please write in capitals only if you especially want to stress a point - for example in captions. *Asterisks* before and after a word also highlight it. Capitals outside of captions are universally interpreted as SHOUTING.
  • Please specifiy the source if using quotations and references.
  • Concentrate on one subject per message and add a meaningful subject line in order to make a message easily retrievable.
  • Act professional and careful if you write about others. An email is easily forwarded.
  • It is regarded as extremely impolite to post personal email in forums, mailing lists or news groups without the sender's consent.
  • Abbreviations may be used, however messages containing too many abbreviations become illegible.
Please observe netiquette!
