Short: Use Altavista's translating service from AmIRC/Shell Author: trebs@ihug.com.au (Michael Trebilcock) Uploader: trebs@ihug.com.au (Michael Trebilcock) Type: comm/irc With this script, you can easily use Altavista's Babelfish translating service, easily within AmIRC or using Shell.. I wrote this script because babel.amirx that comes with AmIRC, doesn't work anymore.. The Vaporware team may distribute this in AmIRC if they wish.. It was a major pain to write, because of the fact that babelfish has many ways of displaying the translated text, so i hope someone finds this of good use :) PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU FIND ANY BUGS! Type /rx babelfish and /rx babelfish2 for Usage instructions. What's new: - Added some configuration options, SendToWin="1" can be overridden by adding \ before the translation argument, for example: /rx babelfish \it_en Ciao - Can now be run using AmigaShell, AmIRC isn't needed.. - Added a script to make it easy to translate whole conversations, without the need of any copy/pasting, and another feature to save you needing to type /rx babelfish all the time - Added another error check ============================= Archive contents ============================= Original Packed Ratio Date Time Name -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- ------------- 4191 1543 63.1% 13-Feb-01 18:05:28 Babelfish.amirx 1169 643 44.9% 13-Feb-01 18:04:56 Babelfish.readme 2076 835 59.7% 13-Feb-01 18:27:00 Babelfish2.amirx -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- 7436 3021 59.3% 15-Feb-101 01:36:22 3 files
