Short: XFD/XAD DeliTracker Decruncher v2.1 Author: Kyzer/CSG Uploader: Kyzer/CSG Type: mus/play This is a new DeliGenie for DeliTracker. It does two things: 1: If you load an archive file into DeliTracker, it will extract the first file in the archive, and try to play it as a module. This is done using the powerful xadmaster library by Dirk Stoecker. This library can extract almost any archive, without the use of an external archiver program. The well known Arj, LhA, LZX, RAR and Zip are all fully supported. DeliTracker will extract the first file listed in the archive that isn't a readme or textfile or such. This file alone must be the module you want to play, so you can't put two-part TFMX files into an archive, sorry. 2: If you load a packed module, it will unpack it for you and play it. This is done with the equally powerful XFD system, also known as xfdmaster.library. As it stands, DeliTracker can read XPK and PowerPacker compressed music files as standard, and includes genies to decrunch music files compressed with MMCMP, modCRUSHER, ST Crunch, Impulse or Imploder. But this is nothing compared to what XFD can decrunch: several hundred formats. Installation: ------------- Go to your DeliGenies drawer and move any 'unpacking' genies to the GenieStore drawer. Now copy the "Decruncher" file from this archive to your DeliGenies drawer. If this is too difficult for you, mail me and demand an Install script :) If you haven't already done so, install version 38 or better of XFD, which is available from Aminet. You should also install version 4 or better of XAD, also on Aminet, but remember that this is a shareware product, where a nagging requester appears the first time you use it after booting your Amiga. Therefore, you will get an XAD nag when you load your first module in the morning. If you dislike this, you have 3 options: 1) register XAD, 2) uninstall XAD, 3) move xadmaster.library to the C: drawer, so you can only use it with the xad shell commands. Of course, no other programs outside the C: drawer can use XAD now, but this is the point, isn't it?
