Requeriments:

-Lame V3.70...If you still not have Lame..download it at http://www.honeypot.net/audio
-Opus5.82..not tested on previous versions but maybe work on them 
-some sound files to convert to mp3

Not requerided but recomended:

-AllegroCDFS
-a CDROM with audio-digital-extract
-a faster procesor

Installation:

-copy LAME to C dir (version acording to your CPU)
-copy the file named lame_buttons to Dopus5/buttons

Usage:

Make sure that you have open 2 listers on Opus5..one for source and one for destination
On Opus5 go to load buttons and select "Lame_buttons"
Select one or more sound files and press your desired button
There are 3 buttons..fast,normal and high quality
Lame support aiff,wav,cdda,raw-pcm etc .read lame docs for more info
Use CTRL + C to quit encoding
Note that source wav & aiff files must be 44100 hz - 16bits..mono or stereo

-Please note if you are using AllegroCDFS (the faster and better CDfilesystem for
the Amiga now) you can convert any cdda track direct from CD..if you CDROM support audio-digital
extract.
On AllegroCDFS you can see all CDDA tracks files in Opus listers ..so use it like
a normal wav or aiff file to convert to mp3

Aditional notes:

Lame is the faster Mp3 encoder for the Amiga now in May/2000 and is freeware
With the fast button I can make an mp3 file from a cdda or wav or aiff file (duration 4 or 5 mins)
in about 9-12 minutes on my A1200 apollo 1266 060/66mhz
Im not Amadeus Mozart but I can not see any sound diference betewen fast mormal and
highquality output ..so try FAST button
Lame have more functions and options but I think that you only need this 3 buttons
