I decided to develop this program after a friend lost a password to a vital document. Please note that this software is not intended for any kind of hacking purposes, it is intended for legitimate use only. HOW TO USE THIS SOFTWARE ------------------------ Use of this software is easy. Just open a Shell/CLI window, CD into the directory containing the program and execute the program, passing the name of the document you want to recover the password from as an argument like this: W-WORTH.EXE So if you wish to recover a password from a document called "NICE.DOC" stored in "dh0:work/documents" then you would run the program like this: W-WORTH.EXE dh0:work/documents/NICE.DOC Please note that if the path or file name that you wish to use contains spaces then you must use speech marks around the entire argument like this: W-WORTH.EXE "dh0:work/documents/NEW WORK.DOC" VERSIONS OF WORDWORTH® THAT THIS PRODUCT WORKS WITH --------------------------------------------------- This product will only recover passwords from documents created with the Amiga versions of WordWorth® 6 and 7 (including v7 update - v7.01). HELP IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SOFTWARE! ----------------------------------------- I hope that you find this program useful. However, I intend to develop a new password recovery application for the Amiga which recovers passwords from many different types of data files, such as: · Microsoft® Word® documents · Microsoft® Excel® worksheets · Microsoft® Money® data files · Quicken® and Quickbooks® data files · Wordperfect® documents · YAM v1.x configuration files I was intending to develop this new piece of software solely for the PC but I have decided to stay loyal to the Amiga and develop it solely for my favourite machine :). It will be released as Shareware when it is eventually finished - but first I need the help of the Amiga users!. I do not have access to the above applications above so I am finding it difficult to test the work I have already done. If any of you out there own a PC with these applications installed (or have access to one), I would appreciate it greatly if you could: · Create a new file, type some random text into the document, worksheet, etc. · Password protect the document, worksheet, etc with a password of your choice. · Send me the file via E-Mail (File attach) as well as telling me the password you have used to protect it. The sooner I have some test document/worksheet files to work on, the sooner I can get this new project released!
