light table mode is not available and
cannot  be  activated,  turn the zoom

The  Mask function is one of the most
powerful features of a computer paint
program.   In  the  world of material
art  the ability to mask off portions
of  an  image  is  used  by  airbrush
artists,  professional photographers,
printers, and even sign makers.  With
the  help  of the mask function it is
easily  possible to separate a person
from  any  type of background or even
to  change  the color of the sky from
blue  to  orange.   One  of  the more
difficult  features to master but one
of the most rewarding!

In  the  first line of this requester
you  determine  the  kind of mask you
wish   to  use  by  the  two  buttons
located at the top of the screen.  By
selecting  ´Non'  you  turn  all mask
features  off.   If  for  example you
want to change only one color in your
image  but  it  is  interspersed  you
should  choose  ´One'.   And  if  you
prefer  to  work with a Color Look Up
Table  choose  ´CLUT'.   To  select a
certain color out of the color range,
select  ´Hue'.   You  may  also build
masks  using  ´Value' or ´Saturation'
masks,  these  masks  work  using the
selected brightness or saturation.

This  is  the select gradient gadget.
it is used to cause all the available
tools  to  draw  using a gradient and

the   five   color  swatches  as  the
gradient colors.  The gradient select
requester  allows  you to specify how
many   colors   are  used  and  their
position.   We  highly recommend that

gradient   tools  so  that  you  will
become familiar with their operation.

This  symbol represents a polygon.  It
works just like the rectangle.  If you

rubber  band  effect will be connected
to  the  first  point  from  the mouse
pointer.   The  next mouse click marks
