Short: Forces RAD: to use fast memory. Author: d95ta@efd.lth.se (Torbjörn Andersson) Uploader: d95ta@efd.lth.se (Torbjörn Andersson) Type: util/boot Requires: AmigaOS 3.0+ FastRAD is a hack to make RAD use fast memory instead of chip memory. It patches AllocMem() to make ramdrive.device allocate best memory available instead of MEMF_KICK. SumKickData() is also patched to modify the KickMem list, so Exec won't try to allocate the fast memory at reboot. It is instead allocated by a resident tag that FastRAD installs. FastRAD is freeware. New in version 1.1: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Added KILL option, which removes RAD from the KickMem and KickTag lists, so it won't survive a reboot. ---------------------------------///--------- Torbjörn Andersson /// A1200/030 d95ta@efd.lth.se \\\/// I love you http://www.efd.lth.se/~d95ta \XX/ - AMIGA ============================= Archive contents ============================= Original Packed Ratio Date Time Name -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- ------------- 628 265 57.8% 06-Jul-97 16:39:32 FastRAD.info 1948 1483 23.8% 19-Apr-97 23:04:10 +FastRAD 5017 1919 61.7% 19-Apr-97 23:04:22 +FastRAD.guide 436 154 64.6% 06-Jul-97 16:39:18 +FastRAD.guide.info -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- 8029 3821 52.4% 13-Aug-97 00:22:46 4 files
