Short: Doublewidth version of Topaz 8 Author: Ragnar Fyri (ragnar_fyri@hotmail.com) Uploader: Martin Møller (flop@get2net.dk) Type: text/bfont As the short text says this is basically a double width version of that old diehard, Topaz 8. Its prime directive is to look good on double-hires screens, but it can also be used on plain hires screens to make people thing you have a lowres Workbench. (Looks good on interlaced double-hires too) If you do something intersting with this font, let me know. For those of you who want to know all the details, I started with opening a big Shell window and printing out the file AlleTegn (which contains the whole ASCII character set and is included here because it's handy for testing fonts - just set the font you want and print out this file to see all the characters), then I saved the screen with ScreenSave, loaded it into Deluxe Paint where I cut out a brush which I stretched to double width and pasted down again before saving the picture. Then I converted the individual images with Fontgrabber before I loaded the font into PFM and made some adjustments to some of the characters. To find out more about stuff I have made for and with the only computer that makes it possible, check the Amiga page on my website (I hope that works, I haven't tried sneaking in hyperlinks into a readme file before...) ============================= Archive contents ============================= Original Packed Ratio Date Time Name -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- ------------- 462 329 28.7% 05-Dec-94 09:01:44 AlleTegn 264 31 88.2% 16-Dec-97 19:36:02 TwoPass.font 4168 1768 57.5% 16-Dec-97 19:36:02 +8f -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- 4894 2128 56.5% 26-Dec-97 06:53:42 3 files
