Introduction:

**********************************

Well, here I am and I have no idea what to write, so I'll just get to the

point.

Babylon 5 is by far my favourite TV show, and so it's only a logical choice

that I decieded to recreate some of the ships from the show in the form of

3D Models. I did this before with a few released 3DStudio models (e.g. the

Raider Fighter), and a new bunch of models is soon to be finished. The reason

for this is simple, I bought LightWave 3D, and its modeling tools are exactly

what I needed to get a little more creative.

Here is the result of some of my modeling activities, the Narn's Frazi Class

Heavy Fighter from Babylon 5, as seen in "Revelations". It is the second

LightWave model I built, so it's far from perfect, but I still think it's

good enough to be released.

I hope you will like it. :)

What should be in this archive:

**********************************

	- Narn_Fighter.lwo The LightWave 3D model

	- Narn_Fighter.lws A setup scene with short animation

	- Narn_Fighter_Hull.iff The hull texture map

	- Narn_Fighter_Hull_Spec.iff	The hull specular map

	- Narn_Fighter_Fins.iff The texture map for the fins

	- Narn_Fighter_Fins_Spec.iff	The specular map for the fins

	- Narn_Fighter.jpg A rendering of the model

	- Narn_Fighter.txt This textfile

The object should be placed in the "Newtek/Objects/Babylon5/Narn" folder,

the maps in the "Newtek/Images/Babylon5/Narn" folder and the scene into

"Newtek/Scenes/Babylon5/Narn".

About the model:

**********************************

The model took me only about one afternoon to complete, plus a little extra

time for the texturemaps. First of all I want to credit Mateen Greenway, his

3DS model was a valuable reference during the first phase of construction.

Secondly I need to thank my VCR, through constant slow-mo winding and

rewinding it enabled me to figure out many of the details and "nurnies" of

the ship, which are now pretty accurate in my model. Last but not least I

want to thank all the people who sent me some pics when I had none, thanks

folks, you know who you are! :)

I think it's sufficiently accurate and detailed, if you have any ideas how I

could improve the model then feel free to contact me. I don't mind if you

modify the model, as long as you don't distribute that version. Other than

that you are free to use it, and if you use it in pictures or animations I'd

really like to see what you did with it. :)

cool word) entities. ;)
