Short: Update AmiTCP start/stopnet 1.9 Author: jpvw@xs4all.nl (JP van Woerkom) Uploader: jpvw@xs4all.nl (JP van Woerkom) Type: comm/tcp These startnet/stopnet scripts allow you to: 1> Dial in to any number of providers. 2> Remove ALL passwords from your hard disk. 3> Go on/offline while keeping the TCP stack and all clients running. You wait for the AmiTCP requester to time-out only once, offline. 4> Run programs, that want the TCP stack to exists, offline. 5> Automatically start AmiPOP, inetd and aws. What you need: AmiTCP-demo-40 TCP/IP stack PPP1_45 PPP device driver AmiPOP118 POP mail receiver (optional) AWS Amiga Web Server (optional) This is a bugfix/update to my first release. I used PIPE: for the dialscript - when ppp.device redials the whole thing hanged. (oops) Now uses T: Fixed behaviour of AmiTCP: When offline and online again, AmiTCP's view of hostname is not updated. Now startnet resolves $ppp0IPLocal and sends the new hostname to the AMITCP ARexx port. ============================= Archive contents ============================= Original Packed Ratio Date Time Name -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- ------------- 4301 1541 64.1% 12-Nov-97 01:02:02 +startnet 925 490 47.0% 10-Nov-97 05:09:48 +stopnet 96 80 16.6% 04-Oct-97 02:40:44 +xs4all.resolv.conf 57 57 0.0% 10-Nov-97 11:40:44 +newDIAL 80 75 6.2% 11-Nov-97 23:40:06 +ppp0.config 84 75 10.7% 10-Nov-97 13:03:46 +xs4allDIAL 69 69 0.0% 10-Nov-97 13:04:06 +xs4allPOPARGS 2273 1098 51.6% 10-Nov-97 13:16:14 +install.help 1054 610 42.1% 12-Nov-97 00:54:12 +TCP_Start_Stop.readme -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- 8939 4095 54.1% 12-Nov-97 20:37:42 9 files
