Here we go again:  6 (2 since V49.429, a homepage only release) new options
and _finally_ printf-style output really works!

This is yet another FileID-extractor for FILE_ID.diz as found in
AmiNet-files, BBS-systems, etc.  What makes it different from other
FileID-extractors is :

- Can be used to extract single files
- Can operate in Aminet-mode, i.e. look out for readme files
- Recursion into subdirectories
- Huge graphical user interface (useable w/o GUI as well)
- Extracts faster than other programs
- Multidirectory support
- No external programs (except LHa,Unzip,Lzx,cfx) required
- 1000s of options
- The program is continuously updated and will be expanded even
  further

Supported filetypes are:  Aminet-.readme-files Exe, Dms, Txt, Lha/Lzh, Lzx,
Zip, all other files are examined via cfx (Crunched File Examiner by Bob
Rye), if present.

This is Version 39.455 (ninth release to the AmiNet).  This update of FiDED
features 6 new options. 

Remeber that FiDED is EMail-Ware, which means that you have to send me an
E-Mail or Snailmail if you use the program regularly.  I'll then keep you
informed about future releases and updates if you want to.

V39.455 (07.11.1997)	Ninth release to the Aminet (last
			version didn't appear there!)

	· SORT-tooltype was broken in last version. Fixed.
	· 7 new values for SIZEMODE: k,m,kb,mb,K,M,auto. Caution:
	  SIZEMODE arguments are now case-sensitive
	· Dateoutput can be turned off (will leave more space
	  for the filename). Use the option/tooltype NODATE
	· NOINFO tooltype/option just prints raw file id's
	· Finally: FiDED (when started from shell) may be
	  aborted by sending an Control-C signal.

V39.429 (30.10.1997)	Ninth release to the Aminet

	· New tooltype/option CHOPFILENAMES chops long
	  filenames
	· New tooltype/option AMINETMODE searches for
	  .readme files to get a file-description (and
	  ignores #?.readme and INDEX files)
	· New tooltype/option SIZEMODE allows of different
	  output-modes
	· New tooltype/option DATESEPARATOR includes
	  a separating line between subsequent dates in
	  the dirfile
	· Fixed pseudo-bug: The docs incorrectly stated that
	  one could use C-placeholders like "\n" in custom-
	  strings - this didn't work. Now it does !
	· Included new options in the program's icon
	· Slight changes to the info-text

V39.380 (11.10.1997)	Homepage only update

	· _Now_ PRINTP finally works. Sorry!

V39.377 (08.10.1997)	Homepage only update

	· New tooltype/option PRINTP enables 'P' printout behind
	  the filenames (only if the name is <= 12 characters
	  long).
	· Reversed order of this history file


V39.376 (06.10.1997)	Eigth release to the AmiNet. Note that
			I'm living in the UK now.
			This version incoroprates bugfixes and
			new customstring-placement

	· Abort requester pop up on FiDED's screen, not on the
	  reqtools default screen anymore.
	· Abort requester produced guru's when used with RECURSE
	  option. Fixed.
	· The 'P' between filename and filelength won't appear
	  in FiDED's output anymore.
	· Removed error that cleared filelist when 'no' was
	  selected in the 'Add another directory'-requester.
	· Parsing string is no longer case-sensitive (whoops!)
	· Current-Directory handling had problems with ZIP-files,
	  should be fixed by now.
	· Didn't remove temporary file-id's from T:-directory if
	  the D-flag wasn't set, that would prevent remaining
	  file-id's from being examined. Fixed.
	· Customstring may now also appear at the top of the
	  file -> New values for SEPARATIONMODE-tooltype/option
	  are CUSTOMTOP and BLANKCUSTOMTOP
	· Archive now contains a file_id.diz :D
