FiDED is back!

This   is   yet  another  FileID-extractor  for  FILE_ID.diz  as  found  in
AmiNet-files,  BBS-systems,  etc.   What  makes  it  different  from  other
FileID-extractors is :

- Huge graphical user interface (useable w/o GUI as well)
- Extracts faster than other programs
- Multidirectory support
- No external programs (except LHa,Unzip,Lzx,cfx) required

Supported  filetypes  are  :   Exe,  Dms, Txt, Lha/Lzh, Lzx, Zip, all other
files are examined via cfx (Crunched File Examiner by Bob Rye), if present.

This is Version 39.376 (eigth release), FiDED is now useable from Shell
without GUI, many new Commandline option, better Dirfile-layout, support
for cfx has been added - see list below.

V39.329 (25.08.1997)	Sixth public release to AmiNet, major update,
			many new options

	· Recompiled with SAS 6.57
	· Better support for ZIP-files
	· Sorting by size added
	· All options may be set from Shell/Workbench
	· FiDED may be used without GUI (but including all 
	  options), so it's may replace all Shell-based single
	  file extractors as SnatchDiz and the like
	· Improved outputstyle of files with long filenames
	· Support for cfx and better output for filetypes 
	  not recognised by FiDED
	· Statusgadget output was wrong after click on
	  SoryBy-gadget. Fixed.


V39.353 (09.09.1997)	Seventh public release to AmiNet

	· Customstring may use printf-style formatting to
	  output the number of the file (great idea, Fredrik)
	· FreeMem size mismatched in DMS-extract routine. Fixed.
	· Added support for JFIF/GIF/IFF/ILBM-files (actually for
	  a whole lot of files more, see filetypes section)
	· New tooltype/option RECURSE allows recursion into
	  subdirecories
	· Improved calls of lha/lzx to allow FiDED to handle
	  archives with no .lzx/.lha suffix (Thanx MadOne)
	· Icon contains tooltypes in braces
	· Current Directory was changed to PROGDIR: after
	  use of unzip despite any CURRENTDIR settings. Fixed.

V39.359 (16.09.1997)	Homepage-only release

V39.376 (06.10.1997)	Eigth release to the AmiNet. Note that
			I'm living in the UK now.
			This version incoroprates bugfixes and
			new customstring-placement

	· Abort requester pop up on FiDED's screen, not on the
	  reqtools default screen anymore.
	· Abort requester produced guru's when used with RECURSE
	  option. Fixed.
	· The 'P' between filename and filelength won't appear
	  in FiDED's output anymore.
	· Removed error that cleared filelist when 'no' was
	  selected in the 'Add another directory'-requester.
	· Parsing string is no longer case-sensitive (whoops!)
	· Current-Directory handling had problems with ZIP-files,
	  should be fixed by now.
	· Didn't remove temporary file-id's from T:-directory if
	  the D-flag wasn't set, that would prevent remaining
	  file-id's from being examined. Fixed.
	· Customstring may now also appear at the top of the
	  file -> New values for SEPARATIONMODE-tooltype/option
	  are CUSTOMTOP and BLANKCUSTOMTOP
	· Archive now contains a file_id.diz :D
