Un-lha them to where ever you want it installed. It will create an angband directory. Assign "angband:" to that directory. For the 1.x version execute the assigns script. Then execute whichever executable you've downloaded. example: bin/angband_1.x -uTrevor ; Use whatever name you want. Credits: The port to amiga of Angband was done by Lars Haugseth, larshau@ifi.uio.no. I only made a few changes and then reorganized the files used by Angband into three archives and uploaded them to Aminet. The source for angband is FTP'able from export.andrew.cmu.edu/angband. Including patches for Lars' amiga port, and Lars' binary distribution. Changes in the game which I added - Blows per round information on character display. (This is in no other version of angband) - increased speed of auto-rolling. Regarding sounds: There are no sounds included in this distribution at all. You will have to find your own. I don't know where all those sounds came from, but I don't think sounds ripped from TV and movies can be redistributed. If I'm wrong, tell me and I'll upload a Angband_sounds.lha file. The only difference is the two changes I mention above. Refer to README.amiga for documentation on this executable. README.amiga is from Ang279v6.lha, FTPable from export.andrew.cmu.edu in /angband/Amiga. Regarding Angband_1.x.lha: This port to Amiga of angband for 1.x was accomplished by taking the source of Lars' port and ripping out all the 2.x code. So any credit for the port should go to Lars Haugseth, larshau@ifi.uio.no. Here is a quick list of features lacking in the stripped down version: - No public screen support. Which means no windows. - Always runs in hires non-interlaced mode. - Always uses moria.font. - The REAMDE.amiga text refers to Lars' version, not this one. - Does not use settings.prf file. Here are the changes I made since last uploading it: - Added sound support. - Changed name to 1.x.
