What Is It?
-----------
GRAAL is a "GRaphic Adventure Authoring Language". All you need to create your own
graphic adventures is GRAAL, IFF picture files, tracker modules, and sound samples.
A demo adventure and extensive documentation is included in the package.

After installation, you should read the GRAAL_2.readme file for a complete
description of all the new features. In short, all programs in the GRAAL
system have been improved:

- GRAAL: EHB graphics, Customisable player interface, date & time features, timers,
          improved variable (flag) handling, macros, new script commands
          and conditions. "Default commands" and inventory icons for objects.
          New, more reliable save/load and mark/resume routines.
          100% (well, 99,95%) backwards compatible. All text visible to the
          player translatable to any language.

- Editor: All statements and commands involving areas, points, images, etc. can
          be edited "graphically", as opposed to only a few in the previous version.
          On-line help for all statements and commands through the synchronized
          GRAAL amigaguide on-line reference.

- "Olaf": The demo adventure has been updated to show off some of the new features,
          especially the inventory icon display, the "direct command" features, and
          variations of the cutscene mode.

- gpro: Only for registered users, but now delivered along with the rest of the
          system. (Useless without your personal keyfile.)
          Now supports generating more than one version of the same adventure.
          Better error checking of the distribution (diskinfo) control file.

- gdc: Still better calculation of disk requirements. (One of these days, I may
          get it just right! :)

- Other: NewIcons 3 icons, HD installation script.

Installation
------------
The archives must be unpacked to diskettes with the following volume names:

graal2a.lha  ->  "Graal 2.0 - Disk A"
graal2b.lha  ->  "Graal 2.0 - Disk B"
graal2c.lha  ->  "Graal 2.0 - Disk C"

You can run the demo adventure from the diskettes, but developing your own adventures using
GRAAL requires a hard disk, and preferably something as fast as an A1200 with 2MB RAM
or better.

There is a HD_Install icon on diskette A. Click this and follow the prompts to install
the desired portions to a new hard disk drawer, or to update development drawers.
(This requires the C= installer program. Alternatively, just drag all files from all
diskettes to the same (new) hard disk drawer.)
