This version provides atomic file conversion programs, an interface to the POV-Ray ray tracing program, and some interactive molecular manipulation capabilities. *** New in version 2.6 *** - Minor bugfixes, reorganization. Less restrictive license for distribution on Aminet and Fred Fish Disks. ************************** General program features include: - Ability to read standard Brookhaven data bank files - Correct handling of intersecting atomic spheres - Ability to save IFF files for a particular rendering - Ability to create a series of images which may be combined into animations with normal Amiga paint programs - AGA and Picasso II compatibility - An ARexx interface with full command set - Asynchronous file I/O for quick reads - Interface to POV-Ray with a variety of rendering options. - AmigaGuide and Texinfo documentation - Interactive molecular manipulation in 'vector' mode. - Ball and line rendering for very fast image creation. - Z axis molecular clipping To get the best performance from POV-Ray, I recommend getting my upgrade to this program. The archive should be on Aminet, and is named povami_picasso.lha. This version was created from V2.0 of POV-Ray and provides direct 24 bit Picasso II support as well as some enhancements for use with CPK. CPK requires V3.x of AmigaDOS as well as Nico Francois' reqtools.library. Eric G.
