AIAB Walker v2 - Packaged together by Jaybee ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Whats It All About? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Walker - from those old Amiga masters, Psygnosis - was one of the first titles to be allowed on the AIAB site, and I hope the standed of this updated release is up to scratch! The original 'AIAB-Walker' game add-on used a HD-installer written by good'ol Jean Francois Fabre (JOTD). It worked well, and improved the playability of the game immensely. However, the original game implemented a one minute delay, to allow game data to be loaded from the slooooow floppy drive - on the JOTD HD install, this meant waiting for the intro music to finish...yawn. Now, several years later, Codetapper of Action - [ http://zap.to/action ] has released a definitive WHDload slave that is sure to be a hit with Walker fans. Not only has the one minute delay been removed, but game code can now read the data files in a decompressed state, resulting in ultra-fast loading times - whahey! Furtermore, several handy trainer keys have been added: - F6 - Toggle no overheating of your guns - F7 - Toggle infinite energy - F8 - Toggle shooting anywhere (so you can shoot behind you!) - F9 - Toggle infinite lives - Del - Skip the current level And of course - as with most HD-installs - F10 will quit the game, returning you to Workbench. Don't you just love all this? ;) Be sure to check out the instructions and readme, should you need them ;) Credits for this release: - Psgnosis & DMA Design - Original game developers - Jeff Fabre - Original (pre-JST) HD-installer - Codetapper - Updated WHDload HD-installer Well thats about it - I'll stop prattling on, and leave you to play this fantastic game, made even better by Codetapper's great installer. Take it easy folks! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just extract this zipfile to exactly the same place you extracted the first AIAB.zip file, overwriting any files when prompted. Simple, huh? No? Well okay, imagine AIAB is installed in C:\WinUAE, you would have to extract this archive to C:\ Next, just boot your AIAB setup using the 'HD-Games' WinUAE config. Cya!
