(CHANGED TO MATCH DECPLC.PLT) U7 pin 2 & 3 swap, R27 = 10K, R28 = 470K, C19 = 100p, C20 = 150p The new program works with the NEW FilmNet (Plus & MovieChannel) encoded signal on cable systems (with Sound in Sync) and the OLD decoder. *VIDEO ONLY* Adjustmentprocedure. 1) Start with connecting pin 35 of U7 (8749) to ground. Turn R39 1/4 from gnd, R26 halfway, R38 to gnd, C9 and C6 halfway. Jumper JP5 in position so that P27 is connected (pin 38 of U7). 2) Apply an encoded signal, ie FilmNet Plus or FilmNet MovieChannel to the input and connect the output to a TV/receiver input. 3) Apply 12V to the supply input (J1). Now a picture will appear, rolling over the screen. 4) Turn C9 until the picture slowly scrols to the left, about 1 roll per 2 (or more) seconds. 5) Now turn R38 till the signal is decoded, and turn C6 to the middle of the 2 ends where the picture begins to scroll. Try to turn R38 a bit back to ground if the hold-region is too big. On the screen appeared 1 to 3 vertical lines: - left: original inputsignal is inverted (debug info) - middle: always active (adjusting: straight line (C6,C9,R38)) - right: blacklevel (adjusting: should be absent (R39)) 6) Turn R39 till the blacklevel is equal to the blanking-level, or black appears to be normal on the screen, not too black, and not too grey (rightmost line should not be there). 7) Finaly adjust R26 so that the contrast of the picture appears to be normal. 8) Now remove the power and the connection between pin 35 of U7 and ground. Turn R38 to ground. And turn on the power. 9) And turn R38 slowly until the picture appears, turn R38 a little bit further. You can fine adjust it using C9 and/or R38. R39 Input level of the CVBS signal, adjust so that the blacklevel is equal to the blanking level.
