******************************************************************************* * * * H Y P E ! - The Hypermedia Package for the Atari ST * * * * ** Version 2.0 - Please see notes below for details of additions ** * * ** made to this disk ** * * * ******************************************************************************* Welcome to the world's first Atari ST Hypermedia Package! To keep in the spirit of things the tutorial demonstrating how to use this package is itself in the form of a Hypermedia document (a script). To explore this document, and learn how to use Hype!, simply double click on the View.prg icon from the desktop. The program will run and present the title screen. To move on through the document keep pressing F1 until you know how to do otherwise! IMPORTANT NOTE : Your disk must have write protection set to off (ie set the little plastic ooja on the top right hand corner of the disk to cover the hole). ** Mega ST users ** Because this program makes use of substantial amounts of disk I/O you may wish to load the tutorial onto a ramdisk to improve response times. A suitable ramdisk program may be initiated using the Goodies desk accessory. You should copy the view.prg, view.rsc, hype.dat, hype.ndx and Frames folder to it. Then double click on the view.prg icon in the usual way. ** Public Domain and Full Versions ** This package has been developed in the spirit of PD/Shareware software. All files on this disk are PD and may be copied freely. The hypermedia viewing program, View, is fully functional. However the enclosed version of the Hypermedia construction program, Hype, is limited to constructing scripts containing 7 frames only. Users who register with WoolleySoft will receive the full version of Hype which has no restrictions on script size. Registered users will also receive the updates of Hype! at PD prices. Scripts constructed by registered users may be freely copied and distributed along with View. ** Version 2.0 ** Hype! version 2.0 works in both high and medium resolution, however there are two PD demo disks, one for colour and one for mono. This is because the demo scripts used for are different for the two resolutions. The colour script was converted from the mono version and their may be minor discrepancies, please ignore! ** System Requirements ** Both the Hypermedia viewing and construction programs (i.e. View.prg & Hype.prg) can run from any Atari ST system. However, this system is distributed as a D/S disk because the tutorial document + viewing program requires more than 360K of storage. (With a S/S disk the maximum document size is about 25 pages, this rises to about 60 pages for a D/S disk - a considerable amount of information!) To register send Nineteen Pounds Ninety Five to :- WoolleySoft Humblesknowe Cottage, Ramoyle, Dunblane, Perthshire, Scotland FK15 0BA An order form is included on this disk in the Utilities folder. ** Disk Contents ** This disk should contain the following folders and files :- View.prg - Hypermedia viewing program View.rsc Hype.dat - Hypermedia database files for tutorial script Hype.ndx Readme.1st - This file FRAMES *.hy? files - Hypermedia Frames for tutorial script UTILITIES Order.txt - Hype! order form.
