T o o l D r i v e r Version 2.02 This is a Shareware diskette. You are invited to test drive it on your PC for up to 60 days. If you intend to continue using the ToolDriver software or its documentation after that time you must make a registration payment to ConVal Software. Print the file REGISTER.DOC to obtain a registration form. The registered version comes with support for memory above 640K - up to 16 megabytes! R E A D M E F I L E --------------------------- ToolDriver provides a window environment for organizing a software project's files and naming conventions. It comes with menus, mouse support and online help. It has everything you need to setup, run, view and print output from cross referencing as well as name-changing functions with FileXref and NameChanger, both included. Microsoft Windows is not required to run this software. NameChanger is excellent for easily changing your naming style (conventions). It may also be used for porting applications between DOS and non-DOS platforms where naming requirements are different (name lengths and case sensitivity). FileXref produces cross reference reports showing relationships - files to files, and files to names. It identifies circular references (loops) and obsolete files! REQUIREMENTS: ToolDriver runs on machines with a 286 or higher processor and running DOS 3.1 or higher. A hard disk, and at least one floppy drive are also required to run ToolDriver. INSTALLATION: Type A:INSTALL ( or B:INSTALL ) and follow the installation prompts. When the installation is complete type TD to start ToolDriver. Within ToolDriver use F1 for help. Use the File/Print option to print FileXref reports. USAGE NOTES: 1. During installation, or later, when you print the documentation files (about 50 pages), you'll need to setup your printer for a printline of 80 characters and a font capable of printing the IBM extended ASCII Character Codes set. (Many of the figures use line drawing characters). 2. The cross reference report file (FILEXREF.PRN) requires a printline width of 132. Set your printer accordingly when you print this file. 3. After installation, store the distribution diskette in a safe place. Having done so, you may delete three files on your hard disk that were only required for installation: PKUNZIP.EXE, MAKEWORK.EXE and TLDR22.ZIP. This will release about 300K of disk space. 4. Use FILES=20 (or more) in CONFIG.SYS and have DOS in the PATH.
