CPI 1+D+o ||  Pguu $g$    Scanning Mode^bScanning Mode^b o ^bLine art^b mode is used to scan image with purely black or  white areas (i.e. text documents, line drawings). o ^bLine art Auto^b mode is like Line art, but with automatic  brightness adjustment. o ^bHalftone mode^b is used to scan photographs or other  originals with different levels of gray. Gray levels are  translated into patterns of alternating black and white  dots. ^bo Gray Scale^b mode is used to scan photographs by preserving  the gray levels. This mode is not available on the IX-12F  scanner. Halftone Patterns^bHalftone Patterns^b When scanning in halftone mode, each gray shade of a document is represented by a pattern of black and white dots. You can select different halftone pattern to get various effects. The IX-12F scanner does not have a choice of patterns. Reverse Image^bReverse Image^b This option is used to obtain a negative image. Mirror image^bMirror image^b The ^bMirror image^b option makes it possible to obtain an image whose orientation is permuted with respect to the original. Resolution^bResolution^b Resolution is adjustable from 75 to 300 dpi (dots per inches). Magnification^bMagnification^b The ^bScale factor^b setup allows you to reduce or enlarge the size of the scanned image. This control is not available on the IX- 12F scanner. Brightness^bBrightness^b Set this control to ^blight^b to obtain a light image (NOT to scan a light original). Scanning frame^bScanning frame^b It is the part of the page that will be actually digitized. It is represented on the reduced view page by the white part of the page (where the last scanned or loaded image if any is visible). The grayed part will not be scanned. If you want to change the scanning frame : o move the cursor with the mouse to one corner of the desired  frame in the reduced view page; o press an hold down the left mouse button and move the  cursor to the opposite corner; o release the left mouse button; Loading and saving settings^bLoading and saving settings^b When you start Image-In, default scanner settings are loaded from disk. You can save the current scanner settings as the new default settings by selecting ^bSave default^b in the ^bFile^b menu. If you want to reload the default scanner settings, select ^bLoad default^b in the ^bFile^b menu. You can save your scanner settings to different files and recall them later. Select ^bSave as^b in ^bFile^b menu and enter the desired name in the ^bSave settings^b dialog box.
