ShareDebate International - A ShareWare Diskette Magazine An Int'l Debate Forum For PC Users Concerned About the Present & the Future Edited by R.H. Martin, Published by Applied Foresight, Inc. P.O. Box 20607, Bloomington, MN 55420 USA Copyright 1990, R.H. Martin. All Rights Reserved. There is no need to install this diskette on a hard disk. Reading performance is good, running even on a diskette. This should run on just about any MS-DOS computer with 384KB of RAM or more, DOS 2.1 or more. Assuming this diskette is on drive A: now, just type: A: and press ENTER. Then type: DBATE001 and press ENTER ("001" is a number). (Note: if you've downloaded this from a bulletin board, remove or delete the download file, DBATE001.EXE, after extracting the files from it but before typing the command "DBATE001" -- otherwise you'd be extracting the files again rather than executing the DBATE001.BAT file.) You can make money distributing this diskette, whether you subscribe to the magazine or not. Menu entry 8 explains this in detail - to distribute the magazine, you'll have to update two files on this diskette (DBATE001.OLD & DBATE001.NEW), which is done from inside menu entry 8. So do not put a write-protect tape on this diskette. Writers & Editors are sought & will be paid - see menu entry 2 for details. The filenames for this diskette are DBATE001.*, IRIS.*, & READ.ME. If you distribute via a bulletin board, condense these files into a self-extract- ing archive-EXE file (LHARC, PAK, PKZIP, or ARC) & name it DBATE001.EXE. (DBATE001.PR is the text of the press release.) Readers can create two other files, BOOKMARK.*. Delete these bookmark files before redistributing. These bookmark files won't fit on a 360KB diskette along with the original files.
