"My worldwide Embassies better open on time now that I know exactly the time with this PHSW clock" - Yeltsin Introduction ------------ The PH World Clock is a ST program that will display both the local time and the time of the place of your selection. Over 50 world major cities are programmed into the world clock. The day and date of the local time is display along with the day of the international time. Program or Desktop accessory ---------------------------- PH World Clock is both a GEM program and a Desktop Accessory. To use as a GEM program, rename extension to .PRG To use as a Desktop Accessory, rename extension to .ACC Display ------- The World Clock is displayed in a window. You can move the window around the desktop with the mouse. The local time is display on the top line and the city of choice time is displayed on the bottom line. What's new in ver 1.1 --------------------- 1/ The minutes calculation now enhenced. 2/ Saving the preference now saves the window position. Commands -------- When World Clock is topped (ie the top most window) the following keyboard keys are active : Left/Right arrows - Scroll the displayed city. CTRL-L/R arrows - Scroll the displayed local city. Alt-S - Save current preference to disk. Alt-R - Reset/Read the saved preference. Alt-X - Quit from PH World Clock. A to Z - Change to the city beginning with that alphabet. CTRL- A to Z - Change to the local city beginning with that alphabet. HELP - Display the help menu, only need to remember this command !! Preference ---------- The preference of World Clock saved are the local and internation city, the position of the world clock window. This is saved in a file called PHWCLK.CFG in the \PHSTUFF folder. This folder is automatically created by the save function on the current drive. Please make sure that your current drive is your bootup drive when saving. If no preference file is found, the local time defaults to Singapore and international time, the 1st city in the list. List of cities in World Clock ----------------------------- If your city is not listed, let me know the city name, time away from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and sent it to address in next section. This program was written in Pure C on a colour, Tos 2.06, 4 Meg 520STFM with a Supra 44 meg Syquest HD system. PH World Clock was also tested on on Tos 1.02, Tos 1.04 and MiNT 1.04b as a DA. A new version is being planned. This includes the capability to change the local time city name to that of your city.
