STARTGEM.PRG DOCUMENTATION

     This is an uncopyrighted Public Domain program originally 
uploaded to the GEnie(tm) national BBS on March 30 1988 by Rick 
Flashman.  It is located in ARChive format in the ST RT DL 
libraries, file #6386 "STARTGEM.ARC".  You may contact Mr. 
Flashman on GEnie(tm) at address R-FLASHMAN.  Feel free to 
distribute the STARTGEM.PRG to anyone for any purpose.  We are 
offering it with ProQueue on a no-charge basis as a demonstration 
of another way to enhance VDOS ProQueue.  What follows is the 
description that accompanied the original download.


Description:
This is a new version of STARTGEM.PRG.  It auto runs any program of your
choice.  This version works with the new MEGA/BLITTER roms and older 1040
& 520 roms.  Place it in your AUTO folder.  Then place a file called
STARTGEM.INF in your root directory (in your boot disk) that reads the name
of the file to execute with its path.

                        ** Special Note **

     If you wish to autoboot a VDISK installation of VDOS ProQueue, 
just rename VDISK.PR to VDISK.PRG, and VPROLOAD.PR to VPROLOAD.PRG 
and copy the file STARTGEM.P in the \STARTGEM folder to the root 
directory and rename it to STARTGEM.INF.  
     This can also be done for disk based installations to any 
drive A-P.  See the documentation for how to set up Floppy and 
Hard Disk installations.
