RATTLECOPY PRO 4.0 INFO FILE

First of all I like to thank everybody who helped me with
bug-reports, tips, routines, donations etc.
With your help this program improves, so you and I have the
benefits of this copier !!!


YYEEAAAHHH !!!  It's RattleHead's favorite copier: RattleCopy PRO 4.0
Still the fastest copier on AMIGA, here are the facts:

Time in seconds, all tests done on the same disks.



Just some reasons to throw X-Copy out of your window:

- RattleMode, a BitMap-copier for no-dos disks, saves lots of time !
- RattleCopy is the ONLY copier that can load a complete disk in
  memory on 1MEG Amiga's, and it's done in 35 seconds !!!
  No copier beats this...  HAHAHA !!!
- Each destination has its own errormap.
- Damaged tracks select.
- Auto Source/Destination selection.

New things since the last RattleCopy update:

- Exit, KillSys, improved memory allocation.
	You don't have to loose your system anymore when you have
	enough memory, I think 1.5 megs is enough...
	If you haven't you need to use KillSys if you want to
	use the Read/Write options.

- Damaged tracks select.
	Very handy, it selects all tracks that gave read or verify
	errors so you can retry to copy them.

- New graphics.
	Drawn by Martin Baumann/Gator Grafix (AFL).

- SpaceBar copy select
	Another handy option, throw your mouse in the corner when
	you have a mega copyjob, just hit the spacebar to start
	a copy...
	
- Full NTSC and 68010/20/30 compatible.
	Thanks to a local 68030 freak (Jaap) in my city I could make
	it work good on other processors.
	Because of my new Agnuschip I could test how it works on NTSC,
	some bugs are removed like weird gadgetselection and a faster
	clock.

- 1 copy-bug removed.
	I hope it's the last one, some people got sometimes strange
	errors when they did a multi-destination copy.
	Not just 1 track but 20 in a row !!!
	(That's not a bug but a BUG !)
	Reason: Bad trackstep routine, now improved.
	I think this must be the last one, I get a lot of mail
	about RattleCopy also with info about bugs so I can remove
	them, thanks to all guys who wrote me !!!


Some info about older bugs:
Version 3.0	A bug made sometimes an error on a
		multi-destination non-verify write.
		(Can you follow that ?)
		But not on all computers.
		Reason: Track write timing to tight, some drives need
		some time after ending their write-operation.

Version 1.0	A bug made read/write errors on track 79
		on 1.3 amigas.
		Reason: The UserStack wasn't placed right.
