Published: April 9, 1996 First Revision: April 10, 1996 Secrets & Walkthrough: Chris You begin the game in the main hallway. Blah blah blah your team blah blah. You're then sent to investigate a gun shot. You walk into the dining room and then go into the hallway near the back. As you walk on, you find a Zombie munching on Kenneth. Before you arm yourself with your knife and dispose of him, run back into the main hallway and get Jill's gun. Go back, and pop that brain eatin' bastard full of lead. Then, search Kenny a few times, and you'll come up with a clip or two. As you're leaving the Dining Room, take the Emblem, you'll need it later on. Go back out to the main hallway, and then enter the Gallery (The two big blue double doors on the other side). If you look at the pot of the Woamn Drawing Water statue, you'll notice something lies within. Push that set of steel steps over thrice, and forward twice. Climb up the steps and get the map. Congrats, you've solved a puzzle. Then go to the back of the Gallery and push the chest thingie out of the way. When you walk into the supply room, you have two choices, either A) Have the Zombie latch on to you and cruch his head (ala Kids in the Hall) or B) Pop a few rounds in him to make sure he's dead. The wise choice would be A, because you're not wasting any of the oh-so-valuable ammo. Go to shelf and snatch the ink ribbon, you'll need it. Now, walk upstairs, and over to the right. There is a single door leading to the Terrace. Go in there, and grab the sparkling key first (It's behind you). Walk into the Terrace and find that Forest has been pecked to death by crows, or had a terrible time with his bazooka. Search forest, and then grab the clip next to him. But hurry, or the birds will have their way with you. Now, go back out into the Main Upstairs hallway and run across to the door directly above the dining room. There should be two Zombies waiting there for you, take care of them any way you like. See the big nudie statue? Break it. Push it down untill you reach the opening and then push it off the balcony. Run back downstairs and grab the present the broken statue left for you. Go back up stairs and to the room above the dining room. Go through the doors on the other side. When you come out, there should be s'more Zombies waiting for you. Take care of them and then go down the stairs. Go into the room behind the stairs, it's the Mansion Save Room. AH! Someone maced you, huh? Well it's Rebecca, a very vital character in this game. In this save room, there are three important things: A) The Typewritter B) The Mansion (Sword) Key and C) an Item Box. Look on the bed and grab the Mansion key, examine it, and it will become the sword key. Open the item box, and there should be two clips, much to your delight. Place your extra stuff in the Box (i.e. knife, blue jewl) to free up spots for more important stuff. Take the clips and combine them with your existing clip (If you haven't squandered you bullets) or just put them in your Beretta. Save your game if you like. When you leave the room, Rebecca asks if she can come with you. Say Yes, remember, you're not that much on a hard ass. Now, go through the Tea room on the first floor and go into the bar. There is a piano there. Nice huh? Well go over to the lower right corner of the room, and push the stuff out of the way, exposing the Sheet Music for the piano. Chris, unfortunatley, can't read music, so give it to Rebecca. She's no Bethoven either, but let her practice. Go out the oposite door in which you came, and viola`! You're in the hallway where you killed your first Zombie! Oh yes, those were the days. Go back out into the Main Hall. Now, go across into the Gallery (where you found the map)and go through the door that you didn't go through the first time you were here. Run the 50 yards dash, if you're not cleaning your shorts from the hell hounds, down the hallway. Don't try to fight them, they'll kill ya'. Keep runing and go through the door at the end of the hallway. Alas, salvation. Grab the Green Herb in the corner of that first section. Use the Herb if you've got any damage so far. Now, go into the bathroom. No, you can't take a leak. Unplug the bathtub full of filth and take the Small Key inside. As you progress through the passage, go through the big double doors at the end. Golly, you sure do have alot of friends. Kill the Zombies (Isn't that almost basic yet?). Keep on going untill you find one more Zomibe, you can kill him or sit down for some crumpets and tea. By the stairs, there is another Green Herb. Snatch it. Go through the door by the stairs. Another save room! Whoopey! Use the Green Herb if you need the energy. But the Typewritter and the Item Box are the most important thing now. Get the package label "Earth" from the gardening suplies, and throw that in your Item Box. As always, place your extra stuff in the Box. Save your game if you want, or if you have any extra ink ribbons(which you probably don't, since there is no such thing as "extra" in this game). Go out the way you came in and go to the Large Art Gallery. No, the crows won't attack you... yet. Look at each picture, but don't push any buttons. Press the buttons under the pictures in this order: 1) A Newborn Baby 2) An Infant 3) A Lively Boy 4) A Young Man 5) A Tired Middle-Aged Man 6) Bold-Looking Old Man and 7) Give me the peace of death, and I'll give you the joy of life. If you screwed it up, the crows will be mighty pissed. Go out back to the passage from which you came and enter the Roofed Passage. There should be another puppy dog waiting for you, but don't shoot him. Run all the way down, put the Star Crest in the hollow space at the top. Go back into the bar where you left Rebecca, she proves you wrong, and shows she can play. Remember that emblem you took way back when? Well you better still have it. Go into the passage after Rebecca play the "Moonlight Sonatta". Remove the Gold Emblem, and swap it with the Emblem you took. Go into the Dining Room, and put the Gold Emblem where you swiped the Emblem from. Wow, the grandfather clock moves aside, showing off a nice key. Examine it, and it turns into the shield key. [Image] Secrets & Walkthrough: Jill Well here we are in the main hall of a spooky mansion after getting chased by hell hounds. We hear some gun shots, I hope it's not Chris! Well, it doesn't matter you're gonna find out it's not him any ways. You go in to investigate and it's a Zombie. Uh oh, do the 50 yard dash back to Barry, and he saves your bacon for the first of many times. You could fight the Zombie by your self, but you'd just be wasting bullets. You go out to tell Wesker, but Wesker appears to have ditched you. You have to look for Wesker in the main hall, so go through the archway under the stairs. Barry tells you to go do a bunch of stuff, so go through the big blue doors on the other side. Go in there and do the same as Chris. Move the stairs over thrice, and forward twice. Grab the map, and then go into the back and push the big chest out of the way. Look, it's the Zombie. Try to walk around him, and if he latches on to you, give 'em a boot to the head! Jill could place kick for the Lions. Take the Ink Ribbons and then go back into the main hall, then to the Dining Room. Take the emblem over the fire place. Now, go back to Kenneth, who is just a shadow of his former self, and search him twice. You'll come up with two clips, combine them with your existing ones. Now, use that lock pick that Barry gave you, and open the Bar (The last door in that hallway). Go behind the piano and push the shelf out of the way, showing the music notes. Jill just happens to be a child prodigy, and plays "Moonlight Sonata" flawlessly. It opens the door to the statue with the Gold Emblem, take the Gold Emblem, and replace it with the Emblem. Go back out to the dining room and put the Gold Emblem where the regular one used to be. The grandfather clock moves out of the way, exposing the key. Examine it, and it becomes the Sheild Key. Now, go upstairs, and hang a right. Go down to the last door, which is the hallway to the Terrace. Walk out the door, but don't mind the blood. Barry should pull a gun on ya', and tell you about Forest's death, which come straight out of a Hitchcok movie. On your way out, Barry should give you the Bazooka. Now, it's time to do some Van Dammage. Save your game if you want, when you pass by the Typewritter. Go back into the Gallery, and go through the door on the right. Arm yourself with the Bazooka before you go any further. If you haven't already, grease the Cerberus that come flying through the winds like a dog outta hell. Ohhh... Spooky, there's another one, dispose of him. See the little shelf without the Spooky Stuff on it? Push it over, there'll be a clip waiting for you. Walk into the door at the end of the hallway, and next to you on the ground should be a Green Herb. Use that (Or the first aid spray, if you still have it) if you're not a 100% health. Walk all the way down the hallway untill you come to the big double doors. You can either do one of two things. Go through the big double doors and eradicate the Zombies, or go into the Compacting Room and get the Shotgun. If you do the latter of the two choices, be forewarned: Barry won't always come and save your ass from the room. If you go through the double doors, you should start on a killing spree. Kill the two Zombies, and enter the first door. S'mor Zombies should be waiting for you, so take care of them too. Go into the room next to the stairs, which hold an Item Box, Typewritter and Chemicals. All of which are important. Throw your Combat Knife, the extra Green Herb and anything else that isn't important in there. You might also want to save your game. Go back out the way you came and go into the Large Art Gallery. This puzzle is the same for Jill as it is for Chris. Look at the pictures and push the buttons in this order: 1) A Newborn Baby 2) An Infant 3) A Lively Boy 4) A Young Man 5) A Tired Middle-Aged Man 6) Bold-Looking Old Man and 7) Give me the peace of death, and I'll give you the joy of life. If you screwed up, the crows will become enraged at your stupidity and swwop down for the kill. If not, you should get the Star Crest. Go into the Roofed Passage, there should be another Cerberus waiting for you, if you have any Bazooka ammo left, use it on 'em. Place the Star Crest in the plate, and return to the Main Hall of the Mansion. Go upstairs and into the room above the Dining Room. Take care of the Zombies waiting for you, and shove the beautiful work of art off of the balcony. Run downstairs and take the Blue Jewel it exposed. Run back upstairs and into the room above the DiningRoom. Go all the way to the end, and open those doors. Here is where it gets fun. You might think you have alot of Beretta ammo now, but you don't. Conserve each shot. No victory shots. Blast your way through the Zombies, then go down the stairs. There should be a Zombie waiting for you at the bottom, and one right infront of the Room beneath the stairs. After that, go into the room under the stairs. There should be an Item Box, Typewritter and Ink Ribbon on the bed. You'll probably need to heal yourself with the Green Herb, now save your game.
