Title: Ins and Outs of Upgrading from 3+ 1.0 to 1.1

The upgrade process to 3+ 1.1 has been described as pretty
painless, menu driven, with on-line help, having easier tuning
capabilities and batch files to help when necessary. Here are a
few technical considerations to know.

Normal installation disks are used for Upgrade except for 4
special diskettes which are:

.br;Upgrade 3+Share PC Server/File and Print (copy protected)
.br;Upgrade 3+Share 3Server/File and Print   (copy protected)
.br;Upgrade 3+Mail Server                    (copy protected)
.br;Upgrade 3+Route Server                   (copy protected)

Name List and Share List databases will remain intact with no
re-entering necessary. Your hard disk will not need to be
reformatted with the rare exception of not having 512 Byte
sectors on the boot disk. We do recommend you backup before and
after the process.

You will need the original 1.0 diskette for registration. The 1.0
disks should be saved even though you can't use them, you'll need
them again if you de-install.

Memory requirements should be similar to ver. 1.0, but may
increase. If memory usage is already tight it is recommended to
also purchase TurboShare and a Cache card or EMS board,
especially for PC Servers.

The ASCII .PRF files are obsoleted. We have optimized parameter
libraries that can be used. If previous parameters are desired
they can be re-entered just as the Route & Remote PRF information
will have to be re-entered. The old files can be left or removed.
Their are batch options to save old data to a Temporary directory
and then delete it. If you choose to clear old 1.0 files any
names that fit C3??????.EXE should be renamed.

If multiple networks, domains and hops are used with Mail the
Route.Prf Domain entries will have to be entered in the Name
service allowing for better handling of returned mail. Route/
Remote will have another adjustable parameter that gets it space
from Share /B

Ether Start and 3+ Start can both reside on the same network.
