Hi!

I've just released Frogger - MPEG-1/2 video player that supports PPC. A few
lines from "readme":

==========================================================================
This is a preliminary release of Frogger - MPEG video player that supports
both MPEG-1 and MPEG-2. It is based on source code from MPEG Software
Simulation Group with quite some speedwise optimizations by me. Currently
it still is very slow and I guess it will only be of interest to 060/PPC
users.

Although there are other MPEG players available for PowerPC, I suggest that
you try this one - its stream parser is of exceptional quality and I yet
have to find standard-conforming MPEG stream that fails to work with
Frogger.
==========================================================================

Frogger is available from ftp://amiga.com.pl/frogger/frogger.lha and (soon)
from Aminet (Aminet:gfx/show/frogger.lha). Home page will be available, too
(http://amiga.com.pl/frogger/).

The seventh public release of AmIRC, version 2.0, is now available!

AmIRC is a client for the IRC Internet Relay Chat protocol written by
Oliver Wagner, also the author of VoyagerNG and Microdot II. It is
*SHAREWARE*. You can register it easily with the included VaporWare
registration utility at any of our registration sites around the world.

Although AmIRC 2.0 contains numerous more hours of work and thus is
slightly more expensive than AmIRC 1.x, there is *NO UPGRADE FEE* --
your legal AmIRC 1.x keyfile will continue to work. The free upgrade is
our "Thank you!" to all the people who already registered AmIRC 1.x,
instead of using cracked versions, pirated key files or "evaluation
periods" of several months or even years. Registrations at the AmIRC
1.x price are *no longer accepted* as of this release.

EMail-Fileserver:
Mail to <fileserv@vapor.com>, put "SEND AMIRC" in the body.
The file will be returned uuencoded.

Changes since version 1.69 (previous public release)
----------------------------------------------------

(NB: This is a rough guide only - a complete list of changes
     is included in the archive)

- Query and channel windows can now be iconified individually to a
"tray" window. Tray window button labels turn bold when new messages
are received, white when a highlight occurs, and carry information
about the number of messages in each window.

- New low-level Plugin API. Documentation of the API is available from
www.vapor.com or Aminet, in a separate archive. An example plugin,
  WallChop.AmiPlug, is included.

- Server list is now a ListTree object with subgroups for different
  networks.

- Can now use MIMEPrefs to automatically view & save files received via
DCC. Activate the "Use MIMEPrefs to view?" or "Use MIMEPrefs to save?"
  menu options.

- "Lag-O-Meter" (tm ;)) probes the IRC server every 30 seconds and shows
the current lag from 0-10+ in a gauge below the userlist. The Info
window also contains the three most recent measurements and the
  average.

- Heavily improved logging. All channel and query windows now have an
"L" button to the right of the input gadget, which is a toggle button
to activate the logging to a user-specified directory.

- "Favorites" window added to store the names of channels you use
regularly. Click on the channel name in a window to open.

- AmIRC now uses NList.mcc (if available) for its listviews. NList is
  written by Gilles Masson (masson@iut-soph.unice.fr).

- Stronger CTCP flood protection.

- DCC connections now work with Miami's SOCKS support.

- Files received via DCC are opened in shared mode during transfer,
so you can play or view them partially while the transfer is still
in progress (esspecially for all you mp3 freaks out there :-)

- DCC receives now have the options to Replace a file. Both the send
and receive windows have Cleanup buttons, to remove old closed and
  failed connections.

- DCCs now show the estimated remaining time of a transfer based
  on current throughput.

- Query windows now have an N button to change the nickname the window
  is currently bound to.

- Background color of AmIRC's main listviews can now be configured.

- /AWAY messages are now filtered, and only shown once to avoid screen
cluttering when talking to someone who is set /AWAY.

- special "Invite" and "Oper" requesters

- Can now automatically accept DCC Send requests.

- Now sends pertinent information to query windows, such as /nick and
/QUIT messages from that user, as well as CTCP and DCC messages.

TITLE

FlexCat - Flexible catalog and source tool

VERSION

    2.0

AUTHOR

    Jochen Wiedmann and Marcin Orlowski

    e-mail: carlos@amiga.com.pl
    WWW : http://wfmh.org.pl/~carlos/

DESCRIPTION

FlexCat creates catalogs and the source to handle them. The differen=
ce
between FlexCat and KitCat, CatComp and some others is, that FlexCat =
is
designed to produce any source you want: any programming language, a=
ny
individual needs should be satisfied. However, FlexCat is not more
    difficult to use.

This sounds like a contradiction. FlexCat's solution is to use
template files, the so called "source descriptions". Ready to use ex=
amples
    for Assembler, C, C++, E, Oberon and Modula-2 are distributed, additi=
onally
an example for supporting catalogs on Workbench 2.0. Any other examp=
les
    are welcome.

FEATURES

    FlexCat features include:

    * Runs on any Amiga
    * Localized of course ;-)
    * Can produce catalog handling source code for any language
(templates for Assembler, C, C++, E, Oberon and Modula-2 included)
    * Written by the people who use it daily (so it should cover all
      your needs)

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

FlexCat works on any Amiga, however you need OS2.04 or higher
to make it using the localization for own purposes.

AVAILABILITY

FlexCat is available on its support site:

    http://amiga.com.pl/flexcat/
    ftp://ftp.amiga.com.pl/pub/flexcat/

    and naturally on Aminet, eg.
 =

    ftp://ftp.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/dev/misc/FlexCat.lha

ARCHIVES

Since release 2.0, the FlexCat distribiution is splitted into the
smaller archives. They are (in order of importance):

FlexCat.lha - Latest FlexCat, user contribitions, english ma=
nual
                           and foreign catalog files

    FlexCat_0x0.lha - patches for 020, 040 and 060 versions of FlexC=
at
(PPC makes no sense here. I checked that).

    FlexCat_XtraDocs.lha - FlexCat's guide in non english languages. Curr=
ently
Svenska, Espanol and Deutsch are provided

    FlexCat_CatSrc.lha - #?.cd and #?.ct files for existing translation=
s and
                           #?.texinfo documents

If you just want to use FlexCat, the 1st archive is all you need.
If you want to have CPU optimised binaries, take both 1st and 2nd
and patch the original release. If you want to read translated manua=
l,
get the 3rd one. If you want to make the translation take the 4th on=
e
(but I suggesto to join the Amiga Translators' Organisation
    <http://ato.vapor.com/ato> first!)

CHANGES

  * v2.0 (25.02.98) - Unfortunately, 2.0 does not meanw break thru
technologies implemented here. It is just the next
                      version numer FlexCat should have...

Added a workaround for problems some people may
encounter while creating catalogs for languages
with corrupted converstion table (part of #?.langua=
ge
file). FlexCat uses utility.library function to con=
vert
##language name to lowercase, which leads to
wrong strings with e.g. czech environment.
Use NOLANGTOLOWER (CLI and prefs) to tell FlexCat
to not to lowercase the name (but remember to keep
                      it lowercased manually!).

FlexCat now uses buffered IO operations.
That may increase the overall speed of FlexCat,
however it's not the must, so you can use
NOBUFFEREDIO switch to fall back to previous
poll mode. Please test the overall performance,
and tell me the results. The IO buffer is now
                      2048 bytes large.

While creating new #?.ct file FlexCat puts contents=

of Language system variable if possible as the
                      #langauge argument.

Fixed bug causing random memory writes under
                      some, but very rare, circumstances.

ARexx.sd source descriptor added thanks to
                      Kai Norhausen <kn@tribal.line.org>

Users' stuff added. Look at the contents of
                      the "Contribution" drawer!

Renumbered the version of catalog files. Most
recent catalog version is 2.0. Older and outdated
                      are 1.x.

Hi,

I've just released MiamiLog. This is very simple flex parser that analyzes
logfiles generated by Miami. Some of you may find it interesting. It is
available from our ftp (ftp://ftp.amiga.com.pl/pub/misc/MiamiLog.lha) and
(in a few days) from Aminet (comm/misc). Source included (GPL).

cu,
Milek
Ps. Yes, this is just-for-fun release.
