DESCRIPTION

  Beep  is  a  small utility to add an audible error (or attention) bell to
the  Amiga.  It allows any IFF 8SVX digitized sound to be used as the beep.
Beep works both under WB 1.3 and 2.0.


OPTIONS

  usage: Beep [-q | <soundfile>]

  You  must  specify  either  a sound file or the option 'q'.  In the first
case  the  sound is loaded and the program is installed, freeing the shell.
If  later on you wish to remove Beep from memory, use the 'q' option.  Note
that to change the current bell sound, you have to first remove the program
and then reinstall it with a new sound file.


EXAMPLES

  To install a new audible beep in your Amiga:

  > Beep bark.sound
  Beep 1.0 - (c) 1991 by Bruno Costa

  To change it to another one:

  > Beep -q
  Beep: handler removed
  > Beep boing.sound
  Beep 1.0 - (c) 1991 by Bruno Costa

  To keep your Amiga silent:

  > Beep -q
  Beep: handler removed


BUGS

  There should be a better way to change the current sound.

  A Preferences-like utility for WB 2.0 is being planned.
